BE Semiconductor Industries Announces € 1.74 Cash Dividend for Fiscal Year 2016

Duiven, the Netherlands, May 1, 2017 - BE Semiconductor Industries N.V. (the "Company" or "Besi") (Euronext Amsterdam: BESI; OTC: BESIY, Nasdaq International Designation), a leading manufacturer of assembly equipment for the semiconductor industry, today announced the declaration of a cash dividend for the fiscal year 2016.

At Besi's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held on May 1, 2017, the dividend for the financial year 2016 was fixed at € 1.74 per ordinary share, of which € 0.35 per ordinary share represents a special dividend. Such dividend will be paid out wholly in cash and will be payable starting as of May 8, 2017.

The following time table will be applicable with respect to the dividend payment:

• May 3, 2017 Ex-dividend quotation
• May 4, 2017 Record date for dividend eligibility (after market close)
• Starting May 8, 2017 Payment of cash dividend

Holders of ordinary shares will receive the dividend through their bank or broker in whose custody the shares are held as of the close of business on May 4, 2017 (record date). The dividend will be made payable to them through ABN AMRO Bank N.V.
