San Donato Milanese (MI), 3 settembre 2015 – Saipem, attraverso la sua controllata Petrex SA Chilean Branch, si è aggiudicata un nuovo contratto di Ingegneria e Costruzione dalla società di Stato cilena Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile (CODELCO), uno dei maggiori produttori di rame al mondo, per lo sviluppo di una condotta ad acqua e di tutte le strutture ad essa associate, incluse le stazioni di pompaggio.
La condotta, che avrà una lunghezza totale di circa 160 km e raggiungerà un'altezza di 3.000 metri sopra il livello del mare, sarà utilizzata per migliorare i livelli di estrazione all'interno della miniera di rame Radomiro Tomic, situata a 1.670 km da Santiago, in Cile.
Il progetto, del valore di circa 560 milioni di dollari, verrà realizzato in due fasi. La prima fase prevede attività di ingegneria mentre la seconda, di approvvigionamento e costruzione, inizierà una volta approvato il progetto e ottenuti i permessi ambientali.

San Donato Milanese (Milan), September 3, 2015 - Saipem, through its subsidiary Petrex SA Chilean Branch, has been awarded a new engineering and construction contract by the Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile (CODELCO), one of the world's leading producers of copper, for the development of a water pipeline and all related facilities, including pumping stations.
The pipeline, which will have a total estimated length of approximately 160 km and reach a height of 3,000 metres above sea level, will be used to improve extraction processes at the Radomiro Tomic copper mine, located 1,670 km from Santiago, Chile.
The value of the project will be approximately \$560 million and will be executed in two phases, the first one will be engineering, and once the project is approved and the environmental permits will be obtained, the second one of procurement and construction will be executed.
