San Donato Milanese, 1 luglio, 2016 - Saipem ha sottoscritto una nuova linea di credito per un ammontare fino a €554 milioni, che verrà utilizzata per finanziare o rifinanziare l'acquisto, da parte della Società, di apparecchiature e servizi da esportatori norvegesi. La linea di credito viene garantita da Garantiinstituttet for Eksportkreditt (GIEK), l'agenzia norvegese per l'assicurazione dei crediti all'esportazione, e concessa principalmente da Citibank N. A., London Branch (Citibank) e Eksportkreditt Norge AS (EK), in qualità di Original Lenders.
La linea di credito sarà utilizzabile nel corso dei prossimi 24 mesi e sarà suddivisa in più tranche, ciascuna della durata di 8 anni e mezzo.
La prima tranche, dell'importo di circa €200 milioni, sarà erogabile nel prossimo mese di luglio e sarà utilizzata da Saipem per il rimborso parziale della linea di credito Bridge-to-Bond di €1.600 milioni stipulata in data 10 dicembre 2015.
Ciascuna tranche avrà un tasso di interesse annuo legato all'EURIBOR o CIRR, con un costo medio previsto intorno al 2% annuo.
Citibank, N.A., London Branch ha coordinato l'accordo di finanziamento in qualità di Mandated Lead Arranger, mentre Citibank Europe PLC ha agito in qualità di Facility Agent.
Questa transazione conferma lo stretto legame che esiste tra Saipem e la rete di fornitori norvegesi di prodotti di alta tecnologia con cui Saipem collabora a livello mondiale e rappresenta per Saipem una importante diversificazione delle fonti di finanziamento.

San Donato Milanese, July 1, 2016 - Saipem has subscribed a new credit facility for up to €554 million which will be used for the financing or refinancing of the Company's purchases of equipment and services from Norwegian exporters. The credit facility is supported by Garantiinstituttet for Eksportkreditt (GIEK), the Norwegian Export Credit Guarantee Agency, and provided mainly by Citibank N. A., London Branch (Citibank) and Eksportkreditt Norge AS (EK), acting as Original Lenders.
The facility will be available for utilization by Saipem over the next 24 months and will comprise several tranches, each with a tenor of 8.5 years.
The first tranche, in the amount of about €200 million, may be drawn during the coming month of July and will be utilized by Saipem for the partial repayment of the €1,600 million Bridge-to-Bond credit facility signed on December 10, 2015.
Each tranche will have an annual interest rate based on either EURIBOR or CIRR, with an estimated average cost of about 2% per year.
Citibank, N.A., London Branch facilitated the arrangement by serving as Mandated Lead Arranger, and Citibank Europe PLC acted as Facility Agent.
This transaction confirms the strong relationship between Saipem and the Norwegian network of high-end technology suppliers with which it cooperates worldwide and provides Saipem with an important diversification of its funding.
