GO internet expands its business to new regions thanks to the agreement with Enel Open Fiber

The company reaches 35,463 customers, +29% on 2015

Gubbio, 2 August 2016 – GO internet has expanded its business to Umbria thanks to the strategic agreement with Enel Open Fiber. The company, which has registered 35,463 customers as of 31 July 2016, 29% more than the number recorded in 2015, is one of the first operators in Italy to provide Fiber to the Home (FTTH) ultrabroadband connection of up to 1 GBPS.

"We aim at increasing our presence on a national level. We have activated the first customers in Perugia with the Fiber to the Home technology and intend to extend this service progressively to other regions. The Lte and Wimax business continue to grow in Marche and Emilia Romagna thanks to the constant extension of the network. We aim at covering 30% of the population of the two regions from the current 15% and are following particularly closely the opportunity represented by the award of the 3.6-3.8 GHz frequencies in order to cover other regions with the wireless service" said Flavio Ubaldi, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Sales of the Company.
