• LA NUOVA RETE LTE TISCALI COPRIRA' CIRCA 13 MILIONI DI FAMIGLIE SULL'INTERO TERRITORIO ITALIANO, IN PARTICOLARE NELLE AREE IN DIGITAL DIVIDE.
• GRAZIE ALLA TECNOLOGIA LTE ADVANCED 4.5G, TISCALI SARA' IN GRADO DI FORNIRE SERVIZI ULTRABROADBAND CON CAPACITA' FINO A 100Mbps, INCLUSO LO STREAMING VIDEO IN 4K, A CLIENTI RESIDENZIALI, SOHO E BUSINESS.
• IL LANCIO DEL SERVIZIO E' PREVISTO NEL QUARTO TRIMESTRE 2016 CON OLTRE 100 STAZIONI RADIO BASE A LIVELLO NAZIONALE.

Tiscali e Huawei hanno firmato oggi un contratto quadro pluriennale di fornitura di apparati di rete che sancisce l'alleanza tecnologica e commerciale tra i due operatori e che segna l'inizio dello sviluppo da parte di Tiscali di una rete di accesso proprietaria LTE 4.5G Fixed Wireless su frequenza 3.5GHz. Grazie a questa rete Tiscali fornirà servizi ultra broadband con capacità fino a 100Mbps su tutto il territorio nazionale, con particolare focus sulle aree in digital divide, contribuendo in tal modo ad accelerare lo sviluppo della banda ultralarga in Italia

Milano, Cagliari, 22 settembre 2016 - Tiscali, tra le principali società di telecomunicazioni in Italia, e Huawei Italia leader a livello globale nelle soluzioni ICT, hanno firmato oggi il contratto definitivo di fornitura di apparati per la realizzazione in Italia della rete ultrabroadband di accesso LTE 4.5G Fixed Wireless con tecnologia TDD su frequenza 3.5GHz. Tale rete permetterà agli utenti, residenziali, SOHO e Business, di usufruire di servizi ultra broadband fino a 100Mbps, scalabili in un prossimo futuro fino a 1 Gbps e sarà in grado di supportare servizi multimediali di altissima qualità, come, ad esempio, lo streaming in alta definizione dei video in 4K.

L'alleanza tra le due società è una vera e propria partnership tecnica e commerciale, e risponde all'obiettivo strategico di Tiscali di realizzare nel corso dei prossimi tre anni, a cominciare dal terzo trimestre 2016, una rete di accesso proprietaria ultra broadband basata su tecnologia LTE-TDD 4.5G WTTH (Wirelessfiber to the Home) su tutto il territorio nazionale, con focus particolare nelle aree in Digital Divide, su frequenza 3.5GHz technology neutral di cui Tiscali è licenziataria. L'accordo quadro prevede la fornitura di apparati di rete a partire dalla cosiddetta core and radio network e CPE (Customer Premises Equipment).

Il contratto quadro prevede la possibilità di realizzare investimenti per 40 milioni di Euro, contribuendo così a coprire i fabbisogni di investimento LTE di Tiscali, che pianifica una copertura di circa 13 milioni di famiglie e imprese, in particolare nelle aree in Digital Divide del paese con l'obiettivo di rispondere alla crescente domanda di mercato di banda ultra larga altamente performante.

MULTI-YEAR FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT BETWEEN TISCALI AND HUAWEI TO PROVIDE END-TO-END 4.5G (LTE ADVANCED) FIXED WIRELESS NETWORK ACCESS ON 3.5GHz FREQUENCY

THE NEW TISCALI LTE NETWORK WILL SERVE ABOUT 13M FAMILIES IN ITALY, ESPECIALLY IN DIGITAL DIVIDE AREAS.

THANKS TO LTE ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY, TISCALI WILL BE ABLE TO PROVIDE UBB SERVICES WITH CAPACITY UP TO 100Mbps, INCLUDING STREAMING 4K VIDEO TO RESIDENTIAL, SOHO AND BUSINESS CUSTOMERS.

THE LAUNCH OF THE SERVICE IS EXPECTED IN 4Q 2016 WITH OVER 100 RADIO BASE STATIONS IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY.

Tiscali and Huawei have signed a multi-year framework contract for the supply of network equipment that confirms their technological and business alliance, marking the start of the development of Tiscali's LTE 4.5G Fixed wireless network access on 3.5GHz frequency. With this network Tiscali will provide ultra-broadband services with up to 100Mbps throughout in the whole country, focusing on the Digital Divide areas, helping to accelerate the development of ultra-broadband in Italy.

Milan and Cagliari, September 22, 2016 - Tiscali, one of the leading telecommunications company in Italy, and Huawei Italy, a global leader in ICT solutions, today signed the final agreement to supply the equipment for building in Italy an ultra-broadband network of 4.5G LTE TDD Fixed Wireless access technology on 3.5GHz frequency. This network will allow consumer, SOHO and Business users to take advantage of ultra-broadband services of up to 100Mbps, upgradable up to 1Gbps in the next future and will be able to support high quality multimedia services, such as streaming 4K high-definition video.

The alliance is a real technical and commercial partnership, and meets Tiscali's strategic goal to achieve within the next three years, starting from 3Q 2016, a of ultra-broadband network access based on LTE-TDD 4.5G WTTH (Wireless Fiber to the Home) technology throughout Italy, focusing in Digital Divide areas, on Tiscali's licensee 3.5GHz technology neutral frequency. The framework agreement provides for the supply of network equipment from the so-called core and radio network to CPE (Customer Premises Equipment).

The multi-year framework contract foresees an investment opportunity til EUR 40 million and helps to cover the LTE needs of Tiscali, supporting the strategic plans of the company aiming at covering approximately 13 million households and enterprises, particularly in Digital Divide areas in the country, where the new offer of Tiscali access services will meet the growing demand for high performance ultra-broadband.
