Aldo Mazzocco designated as the new Generali Real Estate CEO and General Manager

Milan - The Board of Directors of Assicurazioni Generali, chaired by Gabriele Galateri di Genola, has approved the designation of Aldo Mazzocco as the new CEO and General Manager of Generali Real Estate, who will join Generali Real Estate Board of Directors by mid of June.

Tim Ryan, Generali Group Chief Investments Officer, said: "I am very excited to welcome on board Aldo Mazzocco at Generali Real Estate. His widely recognized leadership and expertise in real estate will be instrumental to pursue the strong ambitions we have for Generali Real Estate, to further consolidate and expand its leading role in this industry. I would like to thank Francesco Benvenuti for the valuable contribution he has made in guiding, as ad interim General Manager of Generali Real Estate, the business over the past year."

Aldo Mazzocco, 55, has an extensive experience in real estate. He is currently serving as the Head of Real Estate at Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, and previously he was the Chairman of InvestiRE SGR. Since 2001 to 2015 he was the CEO of Beni Stabili SpA SIIQ and held key management roles at Beni Stabili Gestioni SGR; between 2010 and 2015, he was Directeur Général Délégué at Fonciere des Régions. Since 2011, he is also Chairman of Assoimmobiliare. Mazzocco holds a master in Business Administration from Bocconi University, and a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Padua.
