San Donato Milanese (Milano), 27 luglio 2017 - Saipem ha concordato con Petrobel variazioni del contratto del valore complessivo di 900 milioni di USD per le attività di ingegneria, approvvigionamento, costruzione e installazione (EPCI) relative alla fase "Optimised Ramp Up" del progetto di sviluppo del campo gas di Zohr, il giacimento "supergiant" situato nel Mar Mediterraneo al largo delle coste egiziane.
Petrobel è una joint venture tra IEOC (filiale Eni in Egitto) e EGPC (Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation), ed è responsabile per lo sviluppo del campo di Zohr per conto di PetroShorouk, joint venture tra EGAS (Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company) e IEOC.
Le variazioni dello scopo del lavoro includono l'installazione di una condotta per l'esportazione del gas del diametro di 30 pollici e l'installazione di una condotta di servizio del diametro di 8 pollici, nonché attività EPCI per lo sviluppo in acque profonde (fino a 1700 mt) di 4 pozzi e l'installazione di cavi ombelicali. I lavori inizieranno a luglio 2017 ed è previsto che si concludano entro la fine del 2018.
Per assicurare il rispetto degli obiettivi fissati dal Cliente, Saipem impiegherà alcuni mezzi navali altamente qualificati della propria flotta quali: il Castorone, nave di ultima generazione specializzata nella posa di tubi in acque ultra-profonde; la Saipem FDS2 e la Saipem 3000, mezzi per lo sviluppo di campi sottomarini, nonché il Castoro Sei per la posa e il Castoro 10 per l'interro di condotte.

Questa acquisizione conferma e consolida la nostra presenza nell'area del Mediterraneo orientale e segna un ulteriore successo di Saipem nel segmento SURF (subsea, umbilicals, risers, flowlines) dell'E&C Offshore".

San Donato Milanese (Milan), July 27, 2017 - Saipem and Petrobel have finalized offshore contract variations worth 900 million USD for Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) activities in relation to the "Optimised Ramp Up" phase of the "supergiant" Zohr Field Development Project situated in the Mediterranean Sea off the Egyptian coast.
Petrobel is a joint venture between IEOC (an Eni subsidiary in Egypt) and EGPC (Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation) and is in charge of the development of Zohr on behalf of PetroShorouk, a joint venture between EGAS (Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company) and IEOC.
The current variations to the scope of work include the installation of a 30-inch diameter gas export pipeline and an 8-inch diameter service pipeline, as well as EPCI work for the field development in deep water (up to 1700 metres) of 4 wells and the installation of umbilicals. Works will commence in July 2017 and are due to be completed by the end of 2018.
In order to meet the requirements set by the Client, Saipem will deploy several vessels from its highly specialised fleet, including the Castorone (the latest generation ultra-deep water pipelayer); the subsea field development ship Saipem FDS2; the Saipem 3000 (a subsea construction vessel) and, finally, the Castoro 6 and the trenching barge Castoro 10.
