Mondo TV annuncia una nuova licenza in Grecia per Sissi 2 e altri programmi della library

L'accordo consentirà la trasmissione dei programmi licenziati sul principale canale tematico greco per bambini denominato Smile TV

8 settembre 2017 – Mondo TV, uno dei più grandi produttori europei e distributori di contenuti di animazione, ha annunciato la chiusura di un contratto di licenza con la società Riverdrop LTD di Nicosia avente ad oggetto la seconda stagione di Sissi, la giovane imperatrice, attualmente in produzione e di altri tre programmi della library Mondo TV.

La licenza prevede la concessione dei diritti c.d. Free-to-air e home video in via esclusiva, nonché i diritti c.d. IP TV in via non esclusiva, fino alla fine di agosto 2020 L'accordo è finalizzato alla messa in onda dei programmi licenziati nel migliore slot orario su Smile TV, il principale canale tematico per bambini in Grecia.

Oltre al corrispettivo di licenza, il licenziatario si farà carico dei costi per la realizzazione della colonna audio in greco di cui Mondo TV acquisterà la proprietà e quindi i diritti di sfruttamento.

Al di là del dato economico, comunque interessante per il paese di cui si tratta benchè non rilevante in sé, l'accordo vede la sua importanza nel fatto che la seconda stagione di Sissi, ancora in corso di produzione, vedrà il miglior posizionamento televisivo a supporto della vendita dei prodotti di licensing.

Mondo TV announces a new license in Greece for Sissi 2 and further programs of the library

The agreement relates to the broadcasting of the licensed programs on the most important Greek kids channel named Smile TV

8 September 2017: Mondo TV, one of the largest European producers and entertainment content distributors, has announced the execution of a licensing agreement with Riverdrop LTD, a company based in Nicosia, for the second season of Sissi, the young empress, currently in production, and for three more programs from the Mondo TV library.

The license provides for the granting of exclusive Free-to-air and home video rights, as well as non-exclusive IP TV rights, until the end of August 2020. The agreement is aimed at broadcasting the programs that are licensed during the best time slot on Smile TV, the most important thematic channel for children in Greece.

In addition to the license fee, Licensee will bear the costs for the realization of the Greek audio column of which Mondo TV will acquire the property and therefore the exploitation rights.

Beyond the economic data, however interesting for the country in question, although not relevant by itself, the agreement sees its importance in the fact that the second season of Sissi, still in production, will see the best TV positioning on TV supporting the sales of licensing products.
