La licenza ha ad oggetto la serie Cuby Zoo, co-prodotta con Aurora che è anche co-produttore di Yoohoo

Il nuovo contratto rappresenta un ulteriore rafforzamento dei rapporti commerciali in Medio Oriente da parte del gruppo Mondo TV e può aprire nuove prospettive di sviluppo del licensing e merchandising sulla property nell'area medio-orientale

7 maggio 2018 – Mondo TV S.p.A. annuncia di aver sottoscritto una nuova licenza con MBC FZ LLC, primario operatore televisivo e nel settore dei media di Dubai e nell'intera area medio orientale della serie Cuby Zoo. La serie, basata su una linea di giocattoli peluche, è stata coprodotta con Aurora, partner di produzione del gruppo Mondo TV anche di Yoohoo.

La licenza con MBC ha ad oggetto i diritti di trasmissione televisiva via cavo e via satellite in Medio Oriente e Nord Africa per 24 mesi in esclusiva in lingua araba, inglese e francese della serie licenziata. La licenza prevede altresì il diritto di trasmissione solo in lingua araba via satellite e via cavo in tutto il mondo per 36 mesi senza esclusiva.

La conferma della vendita ad un importante cliente come MBC quale acquirente di programmi distribuiti da Mondo TV rappresenta un ulteriore rafforzamento dei rapporti commerciali negli Emirati Arabi per il Gruppo e, anche se il corrispettivo di licenza non è in sé significativo, la vendita apre nuove possibilità di sviluppo di piani licensing e merchandising in relazione alla property Cuby Zoo nell'area medio orientale.

Mondo TV signed a new license agreement with MBC in Dubai, a leading media player in the Middle East

The license relates to the Cuby Zoo series, co-produced with Aurora, which is also coproducer of Yoohoo

The new contract represents a further strengthening of the commercial relations in the Middle East by the Mondo TV group, and it can open new prospects for the development of licensing and merchandising plans on the property in the Middle East area

7 May 2018 – Mondo TV S.p.A. announced that it has signed a new license with MBC FZ LLC, the leading TV and media operator of Dubai and the entire Middle Eastern area, relating to the Cuby Zoo series. The series, based on a line of plush toys, has been co-produced with Aurora, production partner of the Mondo TV group also of Yoohoo.

The license with MBC includes the cable and satellite broadcasting exclusive rights in the Middle East and North Africa for 24 months in Arabic, English and French. The license also provides for the right of transmission only in Arabic language via satellite and cable all over the world for 36 months without exclusivity.

The confirmation of the sale to an important customer such as MBC as a buyer of programs distributed by Mondo TV represents a further strengthening of the commercial relations in the UAE for the Group and, even if the license fee is not in itself significant, the sale opens up new possibilities for the development of licensing and merchandising plans in relation to the Cuby Zoo property in the Middle East area.

MBC Group is the first private free-to-air satellite broadcasting company in the Arab World which was launched in London in 1991 and later moved to in Dubai in 2002. Over the past 20 years, MBC Group has grown to become a well-established media group in the Arab Emirates which now includes 10 television channels, includes two radio stations, as well as O3 PRODUCTIONS, a specialized documentary production unit.
