Saipem: lettera di intenti per l'assegnazione di un nuovo ordine di lavoro E&C Offshore per la fase Ramp Up to Plateau del progetto Zohr Field Development del valore di oltre 1,2 miliardi di USD

San Donato Milanese (Milano), 20 dicembre 2018 - Saipem e Petrobel hanno negoziato un addendum al contratto offshore del valore di oltre 1,2 miliardi di USD per attività di ingegneria, approvvigionamento, costruzione e installazione (EPCI) in relazione alla fase "Ramp Up to Plateau" del progetto "supergiant" Zohr Field Development, situato nel Mar Mediterraneo al largo della costa egiziana.

Petrobel è una joint venture costituita al 50% da Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) e al 50% da IEOC, una controllata di Eni in Egitto, ed è responsabile dello sviluppo di Zohr per conto di PetroShorouk, una joint venture tra Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) e IEOC, Rosneft, BP e Mubadala Petroleum.

Le attuali attività aggiuntive comprendono l'installazione di una seconda pipeline di esportazione del gas da 30 pollici di diametro e le relative linee di interconnessione, ombelicali e cavi elettrici e in fibra ottica, nonché lavori EPCI per lo sviluppo di 10 pozzi in acque profonde (fino a 1700 metri).

L'inizio della fase Ramp Up to Plateau è previsto per gennaio 2019, in diretta continuità con la fase Optimised Ramp Up, che è stata completata in soli 17 mesi dalla sua aggiudicazione.

Saipem impiegherà in questa nuova fase una gamma di mezzi navali altamente specializzati, tra cui: il Castorone, nave posatubi in acque profonde di ultima generazione; la FDS, nave per lo sviluppo di campi sottomarini; Saipem 7000, mezzo per il sollevamento di strutture; Normand Maximus, mezzo a posizionamento dinamico per la costruzione sottomarina; Saipem 3000, mezzo per la costruzione sottomarina oltre che la nave posatubi Castoro Sei e le polivalenti Normand Cutter e Far Samson.

Saipem: Letter of Intent for the award of new E&C Offshore work order for the Ramp Up to Plateau phase of the Zohr Field Development Project, worth more than 1.2 billion USD

San Donato Milanese (Milan), December 20, 2018 - Saipem and Petrobel have negotiated an offshore contract addendum worth more than 1.2 billion USD for Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) activities in relation to the "Ramp Up to Plateau" phase of the "supergiant" Zohr Field Development Project situated in the Mediterranean Sea off the Egyptian coast.

Petrobel is a 50-50 joint venture between EGPC (Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation) and IEOC (an Eni subsidiary in Egypt) and is in charge of the development of Zohr on behalf of PetroShorouk, a joint venture between EGAS (Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company) and IEOC, Rosneft, BP and Mubadala Petroleum.

The current addendum to the work includes the installation of a second 30-inch diameter gas export pipeline, infield clad lines, umbilicals and electrical/fiber optic cable, as well as EPCI work for the field development in deep water (up to 1700 metres) of 10 wells.

The Ramp Up to Plateau phase is scheduled to commence in January 2019, in direct continuity with the Optimised Ramp Up phase which has been completed in an outstanding 17-month project execution period from its contract award.

In this new phase of works, Saipem will deploy a range of highly specialised vessels including the Castorone, the latest generation of ultra-deep water pipelayer; the FDS, a subsea field development ship; the Heavy Lift Vessel S7000; the DP3 subsea construction vessel Normand Maximus; the subsea construction vessel Saipem 3000; the pipelay vessel Castoro Sei and the multipurpose Normand Cutter and Far Samson vessels.
