Rome, 6 November, 2019 – doValue S.p.A. ("doValue" o "the Company") announces that it has reached an agreement with UniCredit S.p.A. ("UniCredit") which provides for the exclusive management by the doValue Group, as Master and Special Servicer, of a non-performing residential mortgage portfolio of approximately EUR 6.1 billion (gross book value).
The agreement concerns a securitization according to Italian law L.130/99 of a portfolio of non-performing residential loans, largely backed by real estate guarantees and distributed throughout Italy, s.c. "Project Prisma". In terms of size, this is the most important residential NPL securitization project in Europe.
Nearly all of the receivables covered by the transaction are already managed by doValue under the contract with UniCredit signed in 2015. Today's agreement confirms the doValue Group as the Special Servicer of the securitization and appoints it as Master Servicer for the portfolio, contributing to reinforcing the leadership of doValue in the servicing market in Southern Europe and particularly in Italy.
For loans covered by the agreement, is expected that Unicredit will initiate the process to request the guarantee on non-performing loan securitizations granted by the State pursuant to D.L.18/2016 and subsequent amendments (GACS).
