Gas Plus: legal actions against the provisions of Articles 11-ter of the law decree no. 135 of 14 December 2018 (so called Decreto Semplificazioni), passed into the law no. 12 of 11 February 2019

Milan, 3 January 2020 – This follows the information already provided by the Management Report of the financial statements as at 31 December 2018 and by the consolidated half-year financial report as at 30 June 2019, concerning the provisions of Article 11-ter of the law decree no. 135 of 14 December 2018 (so called Decreto Semplificazioni), passed into law no. 12 of 11 February 2019, published on the Italian Official Gazette on 12 February 2019 and in force since 13 February 2019.

On the Italian Official Gazette no. 284 of 4 December 2019 has been published the decree of the Minister of Economy and Finance, in cooperation with the Minister of the Economic Development, of 18 November 2019, to implement the provisions of article 11-ter, paragraph 12, of the abovementioned law decree, passed into the law no. 12 of 11 February 2019.

In order to protect their assets and in particular their mining rights the companies belonging to the Business Unit Exploration & Production of the Gas Plus Group have instructed their lawyers to notify the appeal to the Regional Administrative Court of Lazio – Rome – against the abovementioned decree of the Minister of Economy and Finance dated 18 November 2019, challenging the constitutional legitimacy of the mentioned article 11-ter, paragraph 12.
