Pontedera, 11 febbraio 2021 – Nel 2020 il Gruppo Piaggio ha rafforzato ulteriormente la propria leadership del mercato europeo delle due ruote raggiungendo una quota complessiva del 14,2%. A tale risultato hanno contribuito un significativo incremento delle vendite delle moto, e gli ottimi risultati ottenuti nel segmento scooter, la cui quota parte si attesta al 24,0%.
Secondo i dati disponibili, nel corso del 2020, nei principali mercati europei* sono stati immatricolati 1.455.000 veicoli a due ruote (moto e scooter), e di questi 207.000 sono prodotti del Gruppo Piaggio, in incremento del 6% rispetto all'anno precedente.
Fondamentale l'apporto della gamma Vespa, della Moto Guzzi V85TT, la crescita del brand Aprilia nel settore moto, e la conferma del brand Piaggio tra gli scooter.
In questi giorni il Gruppo Piaggio ha iniziato i primi lanci degli 11 nuovi modelli (cinque scooter e sei moto) previsti per il 2021, tra cui le attesissime novità Moto Guzzi V7, l'Aprilia Tuono 660 e il nuovo Beverly, mentre arriverà sul mercato il prossimo giugno un nuovo scooter elettrico a marchio Piaggio.

Pontedera, 11 February 2021 – In 2020 the Piaggio Group once again strengthened its leadership of the European two-wheeler market, for an overall share of 14.2%. The result was generated by significant growth in motorcycle sales, and excellent performance in the scooter segment, where the Group share was 24%.
According to the available data, 1,455,000 two-wheel vehicles (motorcycles and scooters) were registered on the main European markets* during 2020, of which 207,000 produced by the Piaggio Group, an increase of 6% on 2019.
Key factors were the Vespa scooters, the Moto Guzzi V85TT, the growth of the Aprilia brand in the motorcycle segment, and the success of the Piaggio brand in scooters.
In the last few days, the Piaggio Group has commenced the initial launches of the 11 new models (five scooters and six motorcycles) planned for 2021, including the eagerly awaited Moto Guzzi V7, the Aprilia Tuono 660 and the new Beverly; a new Piaggio electric scooter will arrive on the market in June.
