Saipem, in JV con DSME, si è aggiudicata un contratto da Petrobras per una nuova FPSO nel giacimento offshore di Búzios in Brasile
San Donato Milanese (Italia), 11 giugno 2021 – Saipem, leader di una joint venture con Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd (DSME), una delle principali imprese sudcoreane di costruzioni navali e offshore, si è aggiudicata un contratto da Petróleo Brasileiro (Petrobras) per la costruzione di una unità galleggiante di produzione e stoccaggio (FPSO), denominata P-79, per lo sviluppo del campo offshore di Búzios in Brasile.
Il progetto FPSO P-79 ha un valore complessivo di circa 2,3 miliardi di dollari. La quota di Saipem è pari a circa 1,3 miliardi di dollari.
La FPSO consentirà l'iniziale separazione del gas dal petrolio estratto nel giacimento offshore in acque profonde e raggiungerà una capacità produttiva di 180.000 barili di petrolio al giorno e 7,2 milioni di metri cubi di gas al giorno, con una capacità di stoccaggio di due milioni di barili di petrolio.
Saipem e DSME eseguiranno l'intero progetto FPSO che comprende l'ingegneria, l'approvvigionamento, la fabbricazione e l'integrazione dei moduli di processo dell'unità FPSO, nonché l'installazione dei sistemi di ormeggio, l'hook up, la messa in servizio e l'avviamento.
Il giacimento petrolifero di Búzios, il più grande del mondo in acque profonde, si trova nella regione del bacino pre-salt di Santos, a circa 200 km dalla costa di Rio de Janeiro, ad una profondità compresa tra 1.600 e 2.100 m. Saipem è già presente nel giacimento di Búzios, presso il quale sta eseguendo un progetto di installazione di un sistema sottomarino basato su riser rigidi.

Saipem, in JV with DSME, awarded a contract by Petrobras for a new FPSO in the Búzios offshore field in Brazil
San Donato Milanese (Italy), June 11, 2021 – Saipem, leading of a joint venture with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd (DSME), a main South Korean specialized shipbuilding and offshore contractor, has been awarded by Petróleo Brasileiro (Petrobras) a contract for the construction of the Floating Production Storage and Offloading Vessel (FPSO) named P-79 for the development of Búzios offshore field in Brazil.
The FPSO P-79 project is worth overall approximately 2.3 billion USD. Saipem's portion is approximately 1.3 billion USD.
The FPSO vessel will allow initial separation of gas from the oil extracted in the deep offshore reservoir and will have a production capacity of 180,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and 7.2 million cubic metres of (mcbm) gas per day, with a storage capacity of two million barrels of oil.
Saipem and DSME will execute the entire FPSO project which encompasses the engineering, procurement, fabrication and integration of the topsides of the FPSO units and the installation of the mooring systems, as well as the hookup, the commissioning and the start-up.
The Búzios field, the world's largest deepwater oil field, is located in the region of the pre-salt Santos Basin, approximately 200km off the coast of Rio de Janeiro at water depths ranging from 1,600m to 2,100m. Saipem is already present in the Búzios field where is executing a rigid subsea system installation contract.
