EDISON VINCE ARBITRATO CONTRO QATARGAS
Prezzo del contratto di lungo termine per l'acquisto di GNL dal Qatar non aumenta
Milano, 20 settembre 2021 - Edison comunica di aver vinto l'arbitrato contro Qatargas relativo alla revisione del prezzo del contratto di lungo termine per l'acquisto di Gas Naturale Liquefatto qatarino.
L'ICC-International Chamber of Commerce ha comunicato alle parti la decisione relativa al procedimento arbitrale avviato nel 2019 da Qatargas contro Edison per ottenere l'aumento del prezzo del contratto. Il collegio arbitrale, accogliendo integralmente le tesi difensive di Edison, ha deciso di respingere in toto le richieste di Qatargas di ottenere un aumento del prezzo (diverse centinaia di milioni di euro nel periodo).
Edison, con il contratto con Qatargas importa in Italia circa 6,5 miliardi di metri cubi di GNL all'anno dal Qatar tramite il terminale di rigassificazione di Rovigo.

EDISON WINS ARBITRATION AGAINST QATARGAS
Long-term contract price for the purchase of LNG from Qatar does not increase
Milan, September 20, 2021 - Edison informs to have successfully won the arbitration against Qatargas relating to the price review of the long-term contract for the purchase of liquefied natural gas from Qatar.
The ICC - International Chamber of Commerce - has notified the parties the decision related to the arbitration proceeding started in 2019 by Qatargas against Edison to obtain an increase in the contract price. The arbitration board, fully accepting Edison's defensive arguments, decided to reject all Qatargas' requests to obtain a price increase (several hundred million euros in the period).
Through the contract stipulated with Qatargas, Edison imports about 6.5 billion cubic meters of LNG per year to Italy from Qatar through the Rovigo regasification terminal.
