La Società canavesana, da sempre attenta agli aspetti ambientali, sociali e di governance, mette in evidenza risultati brillanti anche sul fronte ESG nel 2020: sensibile riduzione dei consumi e delle emissioni di CO2. Il Gruppo è determinato verso nuovi obiettivi di crescita sostenibile.
Torino (TO), 30 Settembre 2021 - OSAI (Ticker AIM - OSA), società attiva nella progettazione e produzione di macchine e linee complete per l'automazione e il testing su semiconduttori, comunica di aver approvato e pubblicato il suo primo Bilancio di Sostenibilità, riferito all'anno 2020. Un momento storico per la Società, che segue una strada già avviata nel 2018 quando il Gruppo aveva intrapreso un percorso concreto, indicando chiaramente all'interno della "Politica per la Qualità e la Sostenibilità", le azioni da promuovere in diverse aree di interesse quali l'ambiente, la governance e il sociale.
Dalla proprietà al Management Team, è sempre stata viva l'idea di promuovere un'impresa sostenibile, attenta alle esigenze sociali e consapevole che un approccio attento ai temi ESG (Environment, Social and Governance), avrebbe garantito una maggiore competitività a livello globale del proprio business. La realizzazione del Bilancio di Sostenibilità 2020 di OSAI ha consentito di evidenziare come le politiche d'impresa attuate dalla Società abbiano dato risultati molto positivi e consentito al Gruppo di crescere costantemente dal 2010 ad oggi, sia in termini economici (+11,2% crescita media annua ricavi), che dal punto di vista delle risorse umane, con un +12,4% di crescita media annua del numero dei dipendenti.
Il Bilancio di Sostenibilità 2020 di OSAI è stato redatto in conformità ai GRI Standards del Global Reporting Initiative e include anche la rendicontazione per SDG's - i Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) dell'ONU, per identificare come, attraverso la propria attività, l'azienda possa contribuire al raggiungimento degli obiettivi dell'Agenda 2030. In particolare, gli obiettivi identificati nella Matrice di Materialità di Osai sono:
• Goal 4: Istruzione di qualità
L'obiettivo del Bilancio di Sostenibilità è valorizzare le attività e i traguardi raggiunti in questi anni da Osai e rendicontare come la sostenibilità rappresenti una parte significativa della propria identità in quanto integrata all'interno dei processi di business.
Mirella Ferrero, Presidente di Osai, ha dichiarato: "Attraverso il Bilancio di Sostenibilità 2020 vogliamo raccontare come OSAI svolga la propria attività non solo perseguendo il proprio business, ma anche impegnandosi concretamente in politiche che riguardano le persone, attraverso diritti, standard lavorativi e rapporti con la comunità civile; la governance, con comportamenti e politiche riguardanti i vertici dell'azienda e l'ambiente, tramite l'impatto che la propria attività d'impresa genera. Così facendo siamo convinti che potremo soddisfare ampiamente le aspettative dei nostri stakeholders, rispettando gli standards dei rating ESG, quale garanzia di investimento sostenibile e responsabile per i nostri azionisti di oggi e di domani".
Per quanto riguarda il 2020, sono state registrate performance economiche molto positive, a dimostrazione che un orientamento aziendale sostenibile si riflette in modo virtuoso anche in termini economici.
Il Valore economico prodotto nel 2020 ammonta a 32,3 milioni di euro, quello distribuito a circa 29,0 milioni di euro, mentre, quello trattenuto è pari a 3,3 milioni di euro. Il valore economico trattenuto viene investito nell'azienda ed è costituito principalmente da ammortamenti, svalutazioni e accantonamenti a fondi rischi.
Da un punto di vista degli indicatori di performance in ambito ESG, le risultanze principali mettono in evidenza come la politica d'impresa vada nella giusta direzione, come testimoniano i seguenti dati:
Nell'anno della pandemia OSAI ha investito in formazione, erogando in media 29,9 ore per dipendente (+57,0% rispetto al 2019), ha avuto particolare attenzione al Work-life balance (orario flessibile; banca delle ore; smartworking; ferie solidali). Investimenti cospicuisono inoltre riservati alla Ricerca e Innovazione, il cuore pensante dell'azienda, nel 2020 pari al 10% dei ricavi. Per garantire trasparenza e tracciabilità delle diverse attività svolte in materia di innovazione di prodotto e processo, OSAI ha costituito il "Comitato Innovazione & Sviluppo" per promuovere l'attività di ricerca in azienda e supportare le decisioni strategiche del Consiglio di Amministrazione.
Tra gli aspetti particolarmente importanti per OSAI emerge il tema della Centralità della persona. Per quanto riguarda i dipendenti, il Bilancio di Sostenibilità evidenzia il dato di zero infortuni e zero malattie professionali nel biennio 2019-20. La società era già attrezzata al lavoro da remoto per cui la pandemia non ha colto impreparata l'azienda che ha potuto contare su una continuità operativa dei dipendenti anche nei momenti di lockdown globale, dove sono stati predisposti protocolli anti-contagio molto rigidi. La politica di OSAI valorizza anche ruoli ed anzianità all'interno dell'organizzazione, il che garantisce livelli di retention molto alti delle figure determinanti per l'attuazione delle strategie aziendali.

Siamo inoltre orgogliosi di essere una delle Società "Sustainable" all'interno di AIM Italia (pari al 20%) e tra le poche a livello mondiale nel settore in cui operiamo, a rendicontare attraverso il Bilancio Sociale l'impegno e l'attenzione verso le tematiche ESG."
Di particolare rilevanza per OSAI è mantenere uno stretto rapporto sinergico con la Comunità in cui opera, al fine di essere considerata una delle componenti apportatrici di ricchezza e valore per il Territorio. Tutto questo, non solo dimostrando il più alto livello di responsabilità nei riguardi della salute e della sicurezza della popolazione e il rispetto dell'ambiente in cui l'azienda è operativa, ma anche dal punto di vista delle iniziative sociali, tra cui segnaliamo: il Progetto di Rifunzionalizzazione Fabbriche Olivetti per avviare insieme ad altri 17 imprenditori del territorio una riqualificazione delle aree ex Olivetti del Canavese con l'obiettivo di fare tornare lo storico edificio motore di sviluppo e riferimento per le imprese. Canavese 2030, un gruppo di pensiero di ispirazione civica e indipendente, di cui la presidente di OSAI Mirella Ferrero fa parte, animato da cittadini e organizzazioni che vogliono un territorio aperto, dove si possano sperimentare politiche innovative, nel quale gli attori pubblici e privati si sentano responsabili delle proprie azioni verso la Comunità. Con l'Associazione Carlo Ferrero Onlus, in ricordo del fondatore di OSAI, dal 2016 vengono promosse iniziative e progetti di sostegno rivolti al sociale nel territorio canavesano. L'obiettivo è quello di incentivare, valorizzare e promuovere idee, studi, progetti dal contenuto innovativo nell'ambito industriale, sociale e della ricerca scientifica a favore di soggetti svantaggiati. Da diversi anni, e nel 2020 in particolare, OSAI supporta progetti rivolti al
mondo dell'autismo con "Spazio Blu", iniziativa sostenuta insieme alla Cooperativa locale "Andirivieni e Alce Rosso" per sostenere ed accogliere le famiglie con al loro interno ragazzi autistici e affiancarli nella creazione di un percorso di crescita concreto per il loro futuro.

Turino, 30 september 2021 - OSAI (Ticker AIM - OSA), a company that operates in the field of design and production of machines and complete lines for automation and testing on semiconductors, announces that it has approved and published its first Sustainability Report, referring to the year 2020. A historic moment for the Company, which follows a road already started in 2018 when the Group had embarked on a concrete path, clearly indicating within the "Policy for Quality and Sustainability", the actions to be promoted in various areas of interest such as the environment, governance and social issues.
From the ownership to the Management Team, the idea of promoting a sustainable company, attentive to social needs and aware that a careful approach to ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) issues, would have guaranteed greater competitiveness at a global level has always been alive. own business. The realization of OSAI's 2020 Sustainability Report made it possible to highlight how the business policies implemented by the Company have given very positive results and allowed the Group to grow steadily from 2010 to today, both in economic terms (+ 11.2% growth average annual revenues), which from the point of view of human resources, with a + 12.4% average annual growth in the number of employees.
OSAI's 2020 Sustainability Report has been prepared in accordance with the GRI Standards of the Global Reporting Initiative and also includes reporting for the United Nations' SDG - Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), to identify how, through its business, the company can contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the 2030 Agenda. In particular, the objectives identified in the Osai Materiality Matrix are:

The goal of the Sustainability Report is to enhance the activities and goals achieved in recent years by Osai and to report how sustainability represents a significant part of its identity as it is integrated within the business processes.
Mirella Ferrero, President of Osai, declared: "Through the 2020 Sustainability Report we want to tell how OSAI carries out its business not only by pursuing its business, but also by concretely engaging in policies that affect people, through rights, labor standards and relationships with the civil community; governance, with behaviors and policies regarding the company's top management and the environment, through the impact that one's business activity generates. By doing so, we are convinced that we will be able to fully meet the expectations of our stakeholders, respecting the standards of ESG ratings, as a guarantee of sustainable and responsible investment for our shareholders of today and tomorrow ".
As regards 2020, very positive economic performances were recorded, demonstrating that a sustainable corporate orientation is reflected in a virtuous way also in economic terms. The economic value produced in 2020 amounted to 32.3 million euros, that distributed to approximately 29.0 million euros, while that retained amounted to 3.3 million euros. The retained economic value is invested in the company and consists mainly of depreciation, writedowns and provisions for risks.
From an ESG performance indicator point of view, the main findings highlight how the business policy is moving in the right direction, as evidenced by the following data:
In the year of the pandemic, OSAI invested in training, providing an average of 29.9 hours per employee (+ 57.0% compared to 2019), and paid particular attention to the Work-life balance (flexible hours; bank of hours; smartworking; solidarity holidays). Substantial investments are also reserved for Research and Innovation, the thinking heart of the company, equal to 10% of revenues in 2020. To ensure transparency and traceability of the various activities carried out in the field of product and process innovation, OSAI has set up the "Innovation & Development Committee" to promote research in the company and support the strategic decisions of the Board of Directors.
One of the particularly important aspects for OSAI is the issue of the centrality of the person. As for employees, the sustainability report highlights the data of zero accidents and zero occupational diseases in the two-year period 2019-20. The company was already equipped to work remotely so the pandemic did not catch the company unprepared, which was able to count on the operational continuity of its employees even in times of global lockdown, where very strict anti-contagion protocols have been set up. OSAI's policy also enhances roles and seniority within the organization, which guarantees very high retention levels of key figures for the implementation of corporate strategies.

All this, not only demonstrating the highest level of responsibility towards the health and safety of the population and respect for the environment in which the company operates, but also from the point of view of social initiatives, including: Olivetti Factory Refurbishment Project to launch, together with 17 other local entrepreneurs, a redevelopment of the former Olivetti areas of the Canavese area with the aim of returning the historic building that is the engine of development and reference for businesses. Canavese 2030, a group of civic and independent inspiration, of which the president of OSAI Mirella Ferrero is a part, animated by citizens and organizations that want an open territory, where innovative policies can be experimented, in which public and private actors feel responsible for their actions towards the Community. With the Carlo Ferrero Onlus Association, in memory of the founder of OSAI, initiatives and support projects aimed at social issues have been promoted in the Canavese area since 2016. The goal is to incentivize, enhance and promote ideas, studies, projects with an innovative content in the industrial, social and scientific research fields in favor of disadvantaged individuals. For several years, and in 2020 in particular, OSAI has supported projects aimed at the world of autism with "Spazio Blu", an initiative supported together with the local Cooperative "Andirivieni e Alce Rosso" to support and welcome families with autistic children and support them in creating a concrete growth path for their future.
