Banco BPM: Teresio Testa new Chief Lending Officer

Milan, 24 November 2021 – In yesterday's meeting, on Tuesday 23 November, under the chairmanship of Massimo Tononi, the Board of Directors of Banco BPM selected Teresio Testa as its new Chief Lending Officer. Testa will replace Carlo Bianchi, who is leaving his position after a long and esteemed career in primary banking institutions to access the Solidarity Fund.

Teresio Testa, 59, has spent his career within the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, where over the years he has held various important positions, including: Head of the Large & International Corporate Department, General Manager of Mediocredito Italiano and, lastly, Head of the Northwest Regional Division.

"This is a profile of great professionalism and prestige", remarks Giuseppe Castagna, CEO of Banco BPM. "Testa is going to replace Carlo Bianchi, one of the most highly esteemed and experienced managers in our banking group, to whom we extend our sincere thanks for his great commitment over the years. At the same time, we welcome Mr. Testa and wish him a profitable work within our banking group".

Please also note – in compliance with art. IA.2.6.7 of the instructions accompanying the Rules of the Markets organized and managed by Borsa Italiana S.p.A. – that Teresio Testa owns no. 10,000 Banco BPM shares.

Testa's appointment will start on 13 December 2021.
