MONDO TV – Mondo TV Studios chiude un importante accordo di vendita di una fiction destinata alla fascia pomeridiana di RAI 1

L'accordo prevede la licenza immediata di 100 episodi di una fiction, il cui corrispettivo da solo avrà un impatto di circa il 10% sul fatturato di gruppo 2022 con effetti positivi anche sulle marginalità

Oltre alla vendita dei primi 100 episodi, concessa a RAI un'opzione da esercitarsi nel 2022 per l'acquisto negli anni futuri di ulteriori 385 episodi, alle stesse condizioni dei primi 100, con conseguente impatto molto positivo anche negli anni successivi per il fatturato di gruppo e la relativa marginalità

Oltre all'importanza economica, trattandosi di fiction di punta per la fascia pomeridiana di RAI, questo accordo consacra l'ingresso del gruppo Mondo TV nel settore correlato, nuovo per il gruppo e ad alto potenziale, della distribuzione delle fiction

19 aprile 2022: Mondo TV S.p.A. informa che la controllata spagnola Mondo TV Studios ha sottoscritto un'importante vendita a RAI - Radio Televisione Italiana per una serie "fiction", destinata alla fascia pomeridiana di Rai 1, il cui corrispettivo avrà un impatto significativo sui conti della controllata e del gruppo per il 2022 e possibilmente per gli anni futuri.

L'accordo di licenza di cui trattasi prevede da un lato la vendita immediata di 100 episodi di una serie spagnola che conta in totale 485 episodi, e dall'altro un'opzione per RAI per acquistare i restanti 385 episodi alle medesime condizioni economiche dei primi 100. L'opzione potrà essere esercitata già nel corso del 2022 e, in caso di esercizio, spiegherà i suoi positivi effetti economico-finanziari negli anni futuri.

L'importo dovuto da RAI già solo per i primi 100 episodi è rilevante e peserà per circa il 10% sul fatturato consolidato dell'intero Gruppo Mondo TV previsto nel budget 2022.

Significativo per la Mondo TV Studios anche il margine dell'operazione che si attesta a circa il 30% del fatturato contrattuale, con conseguente impatto molto positivo anche per le marginalità nel consolidato di gruppo.

In caso di esercizio dell'opzione per gli ulteriori 385 episodi, l'importo lordo globale dell'operazione supererebbe significativamente l'attuale capitalizzazione di mercato della Mondo TV Studios e fornirebbe alla stessa un'importante fonte di liquidità che consentirebbe alla Società di crescere investendo in nuove produzioni ed espandere la propria attività ad altri segmenti.

Più in generale, trattandosi della vendita di una fiction di punta per la fascia pomeridiana di Rai, questo accordo consacra l'ingresso del gruppo Mondo TV nel settore correlato, nuovo e ad alto potenziale, della distribuzione delle fiction con possibilità di sviluppo di nuovo business nel futuro.

MONDO TV - MONDO TV - Mondo TV Studios closes an important sales agreement for a fiction to go in the afternoon slot of RAI 1

The agreement provides for the immediate license of 100 episodes of a fiction, the consideration of which alone will have an impact of approximately 10% on group turnover in 2022 with positive effects also on margins

In addition to the sale of the first 100 episodes, an option was granted to RAI for the purchase in future years of a further 385 episodes, under the same conditions as the first 100, with a consequent very positive impact also in subsequent years for the turnover and margins of the group. The option is to be exercised in 2022

In addition to the economic importance, since the above fiction is of top quality, this agreement consecrates the entry of the Mondo TV group in the related sector, new for the group and with high potential, of fiction distribution.

19 April 2022 – Mondo TV S.p.A. informs that the Spanish subsidiary Mondo TV Studios has signed an important sale to RAI - Radio Televisione Italiana for a "fiction" series, intended for the afternoon slot of Rai 1, the consideration of which will have a significant impact on the accounts of the subsidiary and the group for 2022 and possibly for future years.

The license agreement in question envisages on the one hand the immediate sale of 100 episodes of a Spanish series which has a total of 485 episodes, and on the other hand an option for RAI to purchase the remaining 385 episodes at the same economic conditions as the first 100. The option can be exercised as early as 2022 and, if exercised, it will spread its positive economic-financial effects over future years.

The amount owed by RAI for the first 100 episodes is already significant and will account for about 10% of the consolidated turnover of the entire Mondo TV Group envisaged in the 2022 budget.

The margin of the transaction is also significant for Mondo TV Studios, which amounted to approximately 30% of the contractual turnover, with a consequent very positive impact also for the margins in the consolidated accounts of the whole group.

Should the option be exercised for the additional 385 episodes, the overall gross amount of the transaction would significantly exceed the current market capitalization of Mondo TV Studios and would provide it with an important source of liquidity that

would allow the Company to grow by investing into new productions and expand its business to other segments.

More generally, since this is the sale of a top quality fiction, this agreement consecrates the entry of the Mondo TV group into the related, new and high-potential sector of the distribution of fiction with the possibility of developing new business in the future.
