Saipem 7000 ritorna ad operare
San Donato Milanese (MI), 13 giugno 2022 – A seguito dell'incidente occorso il 14 aprile 2022 alla gru n.1 della Saipem 7000, il mezzo è tornato ad operare e il 31 maggio 2022 la nave gru semisommergibile, una delle navi gru più grandi al mondo, ha raggiunto il parco eolico di Seagreen, al largo della costa a nord di Edimburgo in Scozia.
Dopo l'incidente, il mezzo è stato sottoposto ad una prima fase di opportuni lavori di riparazione e la gru n. 2 ha ottenuto le relative certificazioni, permettendogli di operare con una capacità di sollevamento in linea con i requisiti tecnici e lo scopo del lavoro del progetto Seagreen.
Lo scopo del lavoro della Saipem 7000 per il parco eolico Seagreen prevede l'installazione di 114 fondazioni di tipo jackets, 23 delle quali sono già state installate, mentre le restanti 91 saranno installate da qui alla fine del 2022.
Il completamento dei lavori di riparazione alla gru n. 1 consentirà al mezzo di tornare alla piena capacità di sollevamento entro l'inizio del 2023.

Saipem 7000 is back in operation
San Donato Milanese (Italy), June 13, 2022 – Following the incident occurred on 14 April 2022 to Crane n.1 of Saipem 7000, the vessel is back in operation and on 31 May 2022 the Semi-Submersible Crane Vessel, one of the largest crane vessels in the world, has arrived in the Seagreen Wind Farm field North of Edinburgh (Scotland).
After the incident, the vessel had gone through a first step of necessary repair works and the Crane n. 2 obtained the related certifications, allowing it to operate with a lifting capacity in line with Seagreen project technical requirements and scope of work.
The scope of work of the Saipem 7000 for the Seagreen Wind Farm is the installation of 114 foundation jackets; 23 of them have been already installed, while the remaining 91 will be installed from now until year-end 2022.
Crane n. 1 is expected to complete the repair works to allow the vessel to return to its full lifting capacity by early 2023.
