San Donato Milanese (MI), 8 luglio 2022 - Saipem ha raggiunto importanti milestone nel Wind Offshore, rispettivamente per i progetti Saint Brieuc in Bretagna e Formosa 2 a Taiwan.
Saipem ha completato con successo il trasporto e l'installazione del jacket e del topside della sottostazione elettrica per il parco eolico offshore di Saint-Brieuc, in Bretagna, in Francia, sviluppato da Ailes Marines, parte del gruppo Iberdrola.
I lavori sono stati eseguiti in due fasi dalla Saipem 7000, una delle navi gru semisommergibili più grandi al mondo, che attualmente può operare con una capacità di sollevamento in linea con i requisiti tecnici del progetto Saint-Brieuc. Saipem ha dapprima installato il jacket di 1.630 tonnellate e poi il topside di 3.400 tonnellate della cabina elettrica.
La sottostazione elettrica a corrente alternata ad alta tensione raccoglierà l'elettricità prodotta dalle 62 turbine eoliche a 66 kV e la porterà a 225 kV prima dell'esportazione da parte di RTE, la rete di trasmissione elettrica francese, tramite due cavi di esportazione. La sottostazione elettrica offshore dovrebbe essere collegata alla terraferma entro la prima metà del 2023. È la prima sottostazione elettrica installata in Bretagna e la seconda in un parco eolico offshore in Francia.
Per il parco eolico offshore Formosa 2 a Taiwan, poi, Saipem ha completato con successo lo scopo del lavoro per il cliente Jan de Nul, contractor EPCI per il suddetto contratto, che prevedeva la fabbricazione di 32 Jackets utilizzati per supportare un numero equivalente di generatori eolici offshore. Il parco eolico è stato sviluppato al largo della contea di Miaoli, sulla costa occidentale di Taiwan, da una partnership tra Green Investment Group di Macquarie e Swancor Renewable Energy.
La fabbricazione dei Jackets per il progetto Formosa 2 rappresenta una novità per Saipem: tutta la fabbricazione, con un peso di circa 50.000 tonnellate, è stata eseguita presso il cantiere Saipem di Karimun, Indonesia, che è stato opportunamente attrezzato proprio per questo tipo di produzioni seriali richieste nello sviluppo dei parchi eolici offshore. L'ultimo Jacket è stato caricato e consegnato al cliente Jan de Nul per il successivo trasporto e installazione a Taiwan.
Con questi ulteriori traguardi raggiunti grazie all'impegno e al lavoro di squadra dell'azienda, Saipem ha contribuito alla realizzazione di obiettivi significativi in questi progetti di Offshore Wind, confermando il proprio posizionamento nella transizione energetica.

San Donato Milanese, (Italy), July 8, 2022 - Saipem reached important milestones in Wind Offshore, respectively for the Saint Brieuc in Brittany and the Formosa 2 in Taiwan projects.
Saipem has successfully completed the transport and installation of the jacket and topside of the electrical substation for the offshore wind farm in Saint-Brieuc, Brittany, France, developed by Ailes Marines, part of the Iberdrola group.
The work was carried out in two phases by the Saipem 7000, one of the largest semi-submersible crane ships in the world, which is currently allowed to operate with a lifting capacity in line with Saint-Brieuc project technical requirements. Saipem installed the 1630 tons jacket and the 3400 tons topside of the electrical substation.
The electrical High Voltage Alternative Current substation will collect the electricity produced by the 62 wind turbines @ 66 kV and raise it to 225 kV prior to export by RTE, France's Electricity Transmission Network, via two export cables. The offshore electrical substation is expected be connected to the mainland by the first half of 2023. This is the first electrical substation to be installed in Brittany and the second in an offshore wind farm in France.
For the Formosa 2 offshore wind farm in Taiwan, Saipem has successfully completed the scope of work for the client Jan de Nul, EPCI contractor for the aforementioned contract, which involved the fabrication of 32 jacket for an equivalent number of wind turbine generators. The wind farm is being developed by a partnership between Macquarie's Green Investment Group, Swancor Renewable Energy and JERA, offshore Miaoli County on the West coast of Taiwan.
The fabrication of Jackets for the Formosa 2 project marks a first for Saipem: the total fabrication, weighing in at around 50,000 tons, was executed at Saipem's Karimun Yard in Indonesia, which had been upgraded for the purpose of windfarm developments. The last of the jackets has been loaded out and handed over for transportation and installation in Taiwan by Jan de Nul.
With these further milestones achieved thanks to the company's commitment and teamwork, Saipem has contributed to the accomplishment of significant steps in these Offshore Wind projects, confirming its positioning in the energy transition.
