Generali, Moody's confirms the IFS rating at A3 with a stable outlook
Milan – Moody's announced that it has confirmed Generali's Insurer Financial Strength (IFS) rating at A3 with a stable outlook. The rating action follows the rating agency's change in outlook on the government of Italy (Baa3) to negative from stable.
Moody's said that the confirmation reflects the strong geographical diversification of the Group, as well as continued improvements in its financial profile. Moody's also said that the IFS rating of Generali remains above the sovereign rating, reflecting its ability to withstand severe stress on the sovereign.
