Saipem si aggiudica due nuovi contratti offshore per un valore complessivo di circa 850 milioni di dollari

Milano, 18 maggio 2023 – Saipem si è aggiudicata due nuovi contratti offshore, uno per un progetto di Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) nel Mar Nero e uno per attività di decommissioning nel Mare del Nord. Il valore complessivo dei contratti ammonta a circa 850 milioni di dollari.

Il primo contratto è stato assegnato da Turkish Petroleum OTC per la seconda fase del progetto Sakarya FEED ed EPCI e prevede l'ingegneria, l'approvvigionamento, la costruzione e l'installazione di una condotta da 16 pollici, lunga 175 km, da installare a 2.200 metri di profondità nelle acque turche del Mar Nero. Le operazioni offshore inizieranno nell'estate del 2024 e saranno condotte dalla nave ammiraglia di Saipem Castorone. Saipem ha recentemente completato con successo la prima fase del progetto di sviluppo del campo gas di Sakarya, che era stato assegnato da Turkish Petroleum OTC nel 2021.

L'altro contratto è stato assegnato da EnQuest Heather Limited per lo smantellamento della piattaforma Thistle A, situata nel settore britannico del Mare del Nord, a circa 510 chilometri a nord-est di Aberdeen e a una profondità di 162 metri. Le attività di Saipem prevedono l'ingegneria, la preparazione, la rimozione e lo smaltimento del jacket e dei topside, con possibile estensione a ulteriori strutture sottomarine. Le attività saranno svolte dalla Saipem 7000, una delle più grandi navi gru semisommergibili al mondo.

Saipem: two new offshore contracts awarded for an overall amount of approximately 850 million USD

Milan (Italy), May 18, 2023 – Saipem has been awarded two new offshore contracts, one for Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) project in the Black Sea and one for decommissioning activities in the North Sea. The overall value of the contracts amounts to approximately 850 million USD.

The first contract has been assigned by Turkish Petroleum OTC for the second phase of Sakarya FEED and EPCI Project and entails the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation of a 16" pipeline, 175 km long, at 2,200-meter water depth, in the Turkish Black Sea waters. The offshore operations are to begin in summer 2024 and will be conducted by Saipem's flagship vessel Castorone. Saipem has recently completed with success the first phase of Sakarya Gas Field Development project, awarded by Turkish Petroleum OTC in 2021.

The other contract has been assigned by EnQuest Heather Limited for the decommissioning of the existing Thistle A Platform, located in the UK sector of the North Sea, around 510 kilometres northeast of Aberdeen, in a water depth of 162 meters. Saipem's activities entail the engineering, preparation, removal and disposal of the jacket and topsides, with possible extension to further subsea facilities. The activities will be carried out by the Saipem 7000, one of the largest semi-submersible heavy lifting vessels in the world.
