FINDINGS OF THE INDEPENDENT ENQUIRY COMMISSION ON VEGA-C ZEFIRO 40 MOTOR TEST

VEGA NEXT LAUNCH TARGETED ON OCTOBER 6TH

Rome, September 29th, 2023 – The Independent Inquiry Commission tasked with analysing the results of the static firing test of the Vega-C Zefiro 40 motor, which took place on 28 June 2023, will share its findings on Monday 2 October 2023 at 12.30 CEST during an online media briefing, preceded by a press release from ESA and Avio S.p.A.

Vega next launch is targeted on Friday, October 6th, 2023 at 10:36 p.m. local time (October 7, at 01:36 a.m. UTC), from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana. The mission, called VV23, will place into sun-synchronous orbit a main satellite THEOS-2, a second satellite FORMOSAT-7R/TRITON and ten auxiliary payloads carried on the innovative Small Spacecraft Mission Service (SSMS) deployment system.
