Saipem, nessun danno alla nave Castorone. In corso i lavori di riparazione
Milano (Italia), 31 gennaio 2024 – Saipem conferma che la nave posatubi Castorone operante al largo delle acque del Western Australia non ha subito alcun danno.
Una lesione localizzata della condotta durante la posa è un evento che può accadere e come tale Saipem ha in atto procedure approvate e risorse a disposizione per interventi e riparazioni.
Dalle prime valutazioni emerge che la causa dell'incidente potrebbe essere un'anomalia del software oggetto dell'investigazione.
Oltre all'investigazione, sono in corso i piani per i lavori di riparazione della linea principale con la sicurezza come priorità.

Saipem, no damage to the Castorone vessel. Remediation works are underway
Milan (Italy), January 31, 2024 – Saipem confirms that the Castorone pipelaying vessel operating off the waters of Western Australia has not suffered any damage.
A buckle while laying the pipeline is an event which can happen and as such Saipem has in place approved procedures and resources available for intervention and remediation purposes.
The initial assessment appears to indicate that the cause of the incident could be software anomaly under investigation.
Alongside the investigation, plans for the trunkline remediation works are underway with safety as our priority.
