PUBBLICA IL BILANCIO DI SOSTENIBILITÀ 2023

"Valore condiviso per la Collettività e Responsabilità Sociale, Osai adotta un Piano Strategico di Decarbonizzazione per contenere le emissioni in linea con gli obiettivi europei al 2030"

Torino (TO), 30 maggio 2024 - OSAI Automation System S.p.A. Società Benefit (Ticker OSA), società attiva nella progettazione e produzione di macchine e linee complete per l'automazione e il testing su semiconduttori, comunica di aver approvato e pubblicato il quarto Bilancio di Sostenibilità per l'anno 2023, redatto conformemente agli standard globali per la rendicontazione di sostenibilità GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), in continuità con le edizioni precedenti.

Il 2023, anno in cui la Società ha acquisito lo status di Società Benefit, fa registrare ottimi risultati in termini di KPI ESG, portando a termine azioni rivolte al perseguimento dei propri obiettivi di sostenibilità, a dimostrazione dell'impegno costante e virtuoso della Società sulle tematiche ESG, fin dai tempi in cui la rendicontazione di sostenibilità non rappresentava un obbligo informativo ma volontario, per comunicare con trasparenza l'attuazione pragmatica del proprio sistema valoriale aziendale, rivolto a creare un modello imprenditoriale di business che, pur generando valore per gli azionisti, generi un impatto sociale nell'interesse di tutti gli stakeholder.

Ad avvalorare ulteriormente l'impegno profuso dall'Azienda per rendere progressivamente sostenibile il proprio business, Ecovadis SA, tra le più autorevoli società internazionali di rating di sostenibilità, ha recentemente attribuito e confermato per il 2024 ad Osai A.S. S.p.A. SB, il Rating ESG - "Silver Medal - Top 15%".

Per la prima volta e contestualmente al Bilancio d'Esercizio 2023, è stata pubblicata dalla Società la Relazione d'Impatto, al fine di rendicontare le attività realizzate per il perseguimento del beneficio comune, la valutazione dell'impatto e gli obiettivi di miglioramento per il 2024.

La valutazione dell'impatto, misurata attraverso il ricorso allo strumento del B Impact Assessment (BIA), ha fornito un risultato oggettivo di compliance a livello normativo, completo e trasparente, totalizzando il punteggio di 102,6, ovvero oltre la soglia minima prevista per il conseguimento della certificazione B Corp (fissata ad 80 punti), percorso che la Società ha messo nei propri obiettivi futuri e che riconosce nel mercato le aziende

di tipo "rigenerativo".

Nel 2023 la Società ha adottato, per perseguire i propri obiettivi di beneficio comune, un Piano Strategico per la Decarbonizzazione, con l'obiettivo di raggiungere il taglio del 42% delle emissioni di CO2 di Scope 1 (emissioni dirette di gas serra secondo il GreenHouse Gases Protocol) e Scope 2 (emissioni indirette di gas a effetto serra derivanti da energia acquistata e acquisita) entro il 2030, rispetto alle emissioni di gas serra (GHG) dell'anno 2022, in linea con gli obiettivi dell'Accordo di Parigi del 2015 (riduzione del riscaldamento globale a 1.5C°) e con i target definiti dall'Unione Europea.

Il Piano di Decarbonizzazione prevede inoltre:

• la progressiva elettrificazione del parco auto aziendale, che attualmente vede il 40% di vetture ricomprese nelle categorie mild/full/plug-in hybrid, di cui il 5% è già full electric e che porterà ad una riduzione delle emissioni dirette di Scope 1 del 10% già nel 2024;
• il 100% di approvvigionamento energetico da fonti rinnovabili, attraverso contratti di fornitura coperti da Garanzie d'Origine (GO), che attestano l'origine rinnovabile delle fonti utilizzate;
• l'ampliamento del parco fotovoltaico realizzato con l'estensione di ulteriori 200 kwp, al nuovo sito di Samone, incrementando così la percentuale di energia autoprodotta;

I risultati conseguiti nel periodo di rendicontazione, secondo la traiettoria definita dal Piano di Decarbonizzazione, hanno visto una riduzione complessiva di 125 tonnellate di CO2 rispetto all'anno 2022 ed in particolare hanno permesso di evitare:

• 93 tonnellate di CO2 attraverso l'acquisto di energia rinnovabile (GO per l'energia elettrica acquistata);
• 16,2 tonnellate di CO2 grazie alla riduzione del pendolarismo delle figure di responsabilità, con una riduzione media di 72,3 gg/anno di spostamenti casalavoro;
• 9,9 tonnellate di CO2 dovute all'ottimizzazione ed efficientamento degli impianti termici a gas metano;
• 5,93 tonnellate di CO² grazie alla limitazione dei voli commerciali.

Il valore economico distribuito dall'Azienda, ovvero l'impatto economico positivo verso gli stakeholder, è stato pari a 46,3 mln euro nel 2023 dei quali:

• 27,6 mln euro per acquisti di materiali e servizi rivolti per l'87% al territorio italiano (con una crescita del 6% rispetto al 2022) e per il 49% al territorio piemontese (in crescita del 14% rispetto al 2022).

• 16,8 mln euro per retribuzioni, welfare e iniziative destinate al personale;
• 0,14 mln euro per iniziative e supporto alla Comunità ed in particolare a 5 progetti vincitori del bando "Erogazioni liberali 2023" che ha permesso l'avvio e la prosecuzione di iniziative per la promozione dell'inclusione sociale di individui fragili sul territorio canavesano attraverso attività didattiche, ricreative e sportive.

Il Bilancio di Sostenibilità 2023 mette in evidenza inoltre:

• l'importanza delle attività di ricerca e sviluppo svolte dal Gruppo per garantire l'innovazione delle soluzioni tecniche e i futuri prodotti. Nel 2023 l'Azienda ha destinato al Settore Innovazione & Sviluppo 3,62 milioni di euro (+24% rispetto al 2022) in 7 cluster rivolti tra gli altri al mondo semiconduttori, e-mobility e circular economy.
• l'attenzione alle persone attraverso la continua ricerca del benessere psicofisico e del bilanciamento ottimale fra tempo libero e lavoro, con programmi di welfare aziendale completi e diffusi, i cui pilastri sono lo smart working, la flessibilità degli orari di lavoro, le coperture sanitarie e previdenziali e finanziamenti agevolati.
• l'attenzione alla formazione, crescita del personale e alla sicurezza sul lavoro con investimenti in ore spese di formazione (+31% rispetto 2022) e in sicurezza sul lavoro, che garantiscono l'assenza di casi di malattie professionali, così come di infortuni, anche grazie al supporto offerto dal Sistema di Gestione della Salute e Sicurezza sul Lavoro ISO 45001:2018.

Molti i riconoscimenti ricevuti quali:

• il "Premio Industria Felix", che ha selezionato Osai fra le aziende più competitive in termini gestionali, di affidabilità finanziaria e sostenibilità nel bacino d'imprese del Nordovest;
• il "Premio Legalità & Profitto", che riconosce le migliori 100 eccellenze imprenditoriali per Rating di legalità, redditività e solidità nell'anno solare.
• il "Premio Leader della Sostenibilità 2024", che il Sole24Ore e INWIT riconoscono alle aziende italiane che si distinguono per le loro pratiche sostenibili e responsabili, guardando alle performance ESG;

OSAI PUBLISHES SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2023

Turin, May 30th, 2024 - Osai Automation System S.p.A. Società Benefit (Ticker: OSA), a company that operates in the field of design and production of machines and complete lines for automation and testing on semiconductors, announces that it has approved and published its fourth Sustainability Report for the year 2023, drawn up in accordance with the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) global standards for sustainability reporting, in continuity with previous editions.

In 2023, the Company acquired the status of Società Benefit. The year records excellent results in terms of ESG KPIs, completing actions aimed at the pursuit of its sustainability goals demonstrating the Company's constant and virtuous commitment to ESG issues since the days when sustainability reporting was not a disclosure requirement but voluntary to communicate with transparency the pragmatic implementation of its corporate value system, aimed at creating a business model of business that, while generating value for shareholders, generates social impact in the interest of all stakeholders.

To further validate the Company's commitment to making its business progressively sustainable, Ecovadis SA, one of the most authoritative international sustainability rating companies, has recently awarded and confirmed for 2024 to Osai A.S. S. S.p.A. SB, the ESG Rating - "Silver Medal - Top 15%".

For the first time and at the same time as the 2023 Annual Report, the Impact Report was published to report on the activities carried out in pursuit of the common benefit, impact assessment and improvement targets for 2024.

The impact assessment, measured with the B Impact Assessment (BIA) tool, provided an objective result of regulatory compliance, comprehensive and transparent, scoring 102.6, i.e. the minimum threshold required to achieve B Corp certification (set at 80 points), a path the Company has put in its future goals, and which recognizes "regenerative" companies in the market.

In 2023, the Company adopted, in pursuit of its objectives of common benefit, a

Decarbonization Strategic Plan, with the aim of achieving a 42% cut in Scope 1 (direct greenhouse gas emissions according to the GreenHouse Gases Protocol) and Scope 2 (indirect greenhouse gas emissions from purchased and acquired energy) CO2 emissions by 2030, compared to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the year 2022, in line with the objectives of the 2015 Paris Agreement (reduction of global warming to 1.5C°) and with the targets defined by the European Union.

The Decarbonization Plan also provides:

• the progressive electrification of the company car fleet, which currently sees 40% of cars mild/full/plug-in hybrid categories, of which 5% are already full electric and which will lead to a 10% reduction in direct Scope 1 emissions as early as 2024;
• 100% energy supply from renewable sources, through supply contracts covered by Guarantees of Origin (GO), which certify the renewable origin of the sources used;
• the expansion of the photovoltaic park built with the extension of a further 200kwp, to the new site in Samone, thus increasing the percentage of selfproduced energy.

The results achieved in the reporting period, according to the trajectory defined by the Decarbonization Plan, saw an overall reduction of 125 tonnes of CO2 compared to 2022 and made it possible to avoid:

• 93 tonnes of CO2 through the purchase of renewable energy (GO for purchased electricity);
• 16.2 tons of CO2 thanks to the reduction in commuting of figures of responsibility, with an average reduction of 72.3 days/year of home-work travel;
• 9.9 tons of CO2 due to the optimization and efficiency of methane gas heating systems;
• 5.93 tonnes of CO² thanks to the restriction of commercial flights.

The economic value distributed by the Company, the positive economic impact on stakeholders, amounted to €46.3 million in 2023:

• €27.6 million for the purchase of materials and services, 87% of which was made in Italy (up 6% compared to 2022) and 49% in Piedmont (up 14% compared to 2022).
• €16.8 million for salaries, welfare and other initiatives for staff.
• €0.14 million for initiatives and support to the Community, 5 winning projects of the "Erogazioni Liberali 2023" call which allowed the launch and continuation

of initiatives for the promotion of the social inclusion of fragile individuals in the Canavese area through educational, recreational and sports activities.

The 2023 Sustainability Report also highlights:

• the importance of the research and development activities carried out by the Group to ensure the innovation of technical solutions and future products. In 2023, the Company allocated €3.62 million to the Innovation & Development Sector (+24% compared to 2022) in 7 clusters aimed at, among others, the world of semiconductors, e-mobility and circular economy.
• attention to people through the continuous search for psychophysical wellbeing and the optimal balance between free time and work, with complete and widespread corporate welfare programs, whose pillars are smart working, flexibility of working hours, health and social security coverage and subsidized loans.
• attention to training, staff growth and safety at work with investments in training hours (+31% compared to 2022) and safety at work, which guarantee the absence of cases of occupational diseases, as well as accidents, also thanks to the support offered by ISO 45001:2018 - Sistema di Gestione della Salute e Sicurezza sul Lavoro.
