GRUPPO PIAGGIO: MICHELE COLANINNO ELETTO PER IL SECONDO MANDATO PRESIDENTE DI ACEM
Milano, 11 giugno 2024 – Michele Colaninno, Chief Executive Officer del Gruppo Piaggio (PIA.MI) è stato eletto per il secondo mandato Presidente di ACEM (Association des Constructeurs Européens de Motocycles), l'associazione europea dell'industria motociclistica con sede a Bruxelles, cui partecipano tutti i gruppi mondiali di moto e scooter.
"Il mercato e i contesti urbani stanno mutando rapidamente e la mobilità sta evolvendo. Questa è una sfida per il settore, ma anche un'opportunità che non vogliamo perdere: sostenibilità, connettività, sicurezza e competitività sono i punti principali della nostra agenda e del Manifesto ACEM" ha commentato Michele Colaninno. "La geopolitica renderà il 2024 cruciale in termini di stabilità politica e commerciale: le elezioni in Europa, negli Stati Uniti e in India segneranno il percorso dei prossimi decenni. In questo scenario, i trasporti e la mobilità sono un fattore determinante per lo sviluppo e la qualità della vita. Scooter e moto offrono soluzioni diverse per far fronte alle nuove esigenze della società nelle aree urbane e rurali. Come ACEM continueremo il nostro dialogo con le istituzioni europee, nazionali e locali nell'interesse dei clienti e dei cittadini" ha concluso Michele Colaninno.
Classe 1976, Michele Colaninno, oltre ai ruoli ricoperti nel Gruppo Piaggio, è CEO e Direttore Generale del Gruppo Immsi, holding industriale quotata alla Borsa di Milano (IMS.MI), attiva nel settore finanziario, immobiliare e industriale, con un fatturato di oltre 2 miliardi di euro.
La conferma di Michele Colaninno alla presidenza di ACEM coincide con il riassetto della struttura dell'Associazione, che ha definito anche tre Vicepresidenti: Stefan Pierer (CEO di KTM AG), Markus Flasch (CEO di BMW Motorrad) e Vito Cicchetti (Branch President di Honda Motor Europe Ltd).

PIAGGIO GROUP: MICHELE COLANINNO ELECTED ACEM PRESIDENT FOR A SECOND TERM
Milan, 11 June 2024 – Michele Colaninno, Chief Executive Officer of the Piaggio Group (PIA.MI), has been elected for a second term as President of ACEM (Association des Constructeurs Européens de Motocycles), the European motorcycle industry association based in Brussels, to which all the world motorcycle and scooter groups belong.
"The market and urban environments are changing fast, and mobility is evolving. This is a challenge for the industry, but also an opportunity not to be lost: sustainability, connectivity, safety and competitiveness are the key points of our agenda and the ACEM Manifesto," commented Michele Colaninno. "Geopolitics will make 2024 a crucial year for political and commercial stability: the elections in Europe, the USA and India will set the course for the coming decades. In this scenario, transport and mobility are a decisive factor for development and the quality of life. Scooters and motorcycles offer different solutions for society's new needs in urban and rural areas. At ACEM we shall continue to engage with European, national and local bodies in the interests of clients and private individuals," he added.
In addition to his positions in the Piaggio Group, Michele Colaninno, who was born in 1976, is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the Immsi Group, an industrial holding active in the financial, real estate and industrial sectors listed on the Milan Stock Exchange (ISM.MI), with revenues of more than 2 billion euro.
Mr Colaninno's confirmation as ACEM President coincides with the restructuring of the association, which has also named three Vice-Presidents: Stefan Pierer (CEO of KTM AG), Markus Flasch (CEO of BMW Motorrad) and Vito Cicchetti (Branch President of Honda Motor Europe Ltd.).
