Saipem si aggiudica un contratto EPC offshore in Qatar del valore di circa 4 miliardi di dollari
Milano, 15 settembre, 2024 – Saipem si è aggiudicata un contratto EPC offshore da QatarEnergy LNG per i pacchetti combinati COMP3A & COMP3B del progetto North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Program, finalizzato a sostenere la produzione del giacimento offshore di gas naturale North Field, situato al largo della costa nord-orientale del Qatar. Il valore del contratto è di circa 4 miliardi di dollari.
Le attività di Saipem comprendono l'ingegneria, l'approvvigionamento, la fabbricazione e l'installazione di 6 piattaforme, di circa 100 km di condotte sottomarine rigide in lega anticorrosione con diametro di 24 e 28 pollici, di 100 km di cavi compositi sottomarini, di 150 km di cavi in fibra ottica e di diverse altre strutture sottomarine.
Questo importante contratto fa seguito al pacchetto EPC per il progetto North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Complexes - [COMP 2], che Saipem si è aggiudicato nell'ottobre 2022 e attualmente in fase di esecuzione.
Tale progetto consolida ulteriormente il posizionamento e il track record di Saipem in Qatar.

Saipem awarded an offshore EPC contract in Qatar worth approximately 4 billion USD
Milan (Italy), September 15, 2024 – Saipem has been awarded an offshore EPC contract by QatarEnergy LNG for the Combined COMP3A & COMP3B of the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Program, aimed at sustaining the production of the North Field offshore natural gas reservoir, located offshore the north-east coast of Qatar. The contract value amounts to approximately 4 billion USD.
Saipem's scope of work encompasses the engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation of six platforms as well as approximately 100 km of corrosion resistance alloy rigid subsea pipelines of 28'' and 24'' diameter, 100 km of subsea composite cables, 150 km of fiber optic cables and several other subsea facilities.
This important contract follows the EPC package for the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Complexes Project - [COMP 2], awarded to Saipem in October 2022 and currently being executed.
This project further consolidates Saipem's position and track record in Qatar.
