Rome, 13 September 2019 – Today's Board of Directors, after the press reports regarding the precautionary measures imposed on a number of employees of Spea Engineering and Autostrade per l'Italia by the investigating magistrates, in relation to charges of falsifying the data resulting from monitoring of the Pecetti and Paolillo road bridges has decided to launch an immediate audit of the facts that have emerged. The audit will be conducted by a leading international company, aimed of ascertaining whether internal procedures were followed correctly by the companies and the people involved.
The aim of the above is to gain a better understanding of events. The results of the audit will be made available to the magistrates.
Atlantia has also requested the Boards of directors of its subsidiaries Spea Engineering and Autostrade per l'Italia, to meet urgently in order to take any necessary decisions and reserves the right to take any further further action.
