TIM announces organisational changes

Rome, 12 November 2019

TIM has today announced a number of organisational changes designed to focus technological and service innovation activities and to improve monitoring of network development and information technology, considering the changing market environment and resulting challenges.

The changes are as follows:

• The Chief Innovation & Partnership Office has been established, reporting directly to the CEO and led by Elisabetta Romano, who is responsible for the TIM Group's technological positioning on innovation and for the medium/long-term development strategy, as well as maximising the value of partnerships and alliances with major Italian and international players.
• The Chief Technology & Innovation Office has been renamed the Chief Technology & Information Office, reporting directly to the CEO and led by Michele Gamberini, who is responsible for the development of networks and information technology, bringing together engineering processes , development and operation of technological infrastructures, platforms and IT applications. Mr Gamberini does not hold any Telecom Italia shares.
• The Chief Wholesale Infrastructures Network & Systems Office, led by Stefano Siragusa, has been renamed the Chief Operations Office, bringing together operations in fixed and mobile access networks, service delivery and on-field network operation and maintenance, to facilitate a progressive recovery of operating efficiency.
• The Wholesale Market Function has been placed under the direct supervision of Giovanni Moglia, TIM's Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer, and the function has been renamed Chief Regulatory Affairs & Wholesale Market in order to ensure the continuity of TIM's results achieved in the recent years with the implementation of the New Equivalence Model, in line with strategy and regulatory sustainability.

MICHELE GAMBERINI

He was born in 1963 and he graduated in Electronic Engineering in Rome.

He has roughly 25 years of experience in Telco Operators and has been working in Telecom Italia since 1996.

He was responsible for Cell Planning and then Radio Department in AMENA, the third Spanish mobile operator, from 1998 to 2002.

He served as Chief Network Officer in Tim Hellas Greece from 2002 to 2005.

From 2005 to 2009 he worked as Director of Network Operation Area, being responsible for deployment and maintenance of both mobile and fixed network in Centre and South Italy.

From 2009 to 2011 he was Head of Operation Governance, responsible for definition and control of network economics and programs, technical quality and revenue assurance monitoring, as well as service creation.

From 2011 to 2014 he served as Head of Wireless Network, leading the engineering and the innovation of the mobile network.

From 2014 to 2016 he has been Senior Director of Core Network and NFV Infrastructure engineering, development and innovation.

From 2018 as Head of Network & Service Engineering, he was responsible for engineering, testing and development of fixed and mobile core network, transport and IP domains, Service Platforms, Multi-Media Solutions, Network Automation. He was also responsible for testing and engineering of wireline and wireless access.
