New Kemira shares registered with the Trade Register

A total of 30,297,557 new shares were subscribed for in Kemira Oyj's ("Kemira") rights offering.

All the new shares have been registered with the Trade Register on December 30, 2009. Following the registration, the total number of Kemira's shares is 155,342,557 shares. The new shares carry the right to receive dividends and other distributions as well as other shareholder rights as from the registration date, December 30, 2009.

Trading in the new shares together with the existing shares of Kemira will commence today, December 30, 2009.
