STOCKMANN GROUP'S REVENUE IN FEBRUARY 2010

STOCKMANN plc Company Announcement 9.3.2010 at 10.45 STOCKMANN GROUP'S REVENUE IN FEBRUARY 2010 In February, the Stockmann Group's revenue (exclusive of VAT) exclusive of Hobby Hall's discontinued operations abroad amounted to EUR 115.2 million, up 5.9 per cent. This was the third consecutive month since the beginning of the economic downturn when the Group's revenue exceeded that of the corresponding month a year earlier. Since the beginning of 2010, Hobby Hall has been a part of the Department Store Division. The Department Store Division's revenue includes Hobby Hall's figures and the comparison figures have been changed respectively. The Department Store Division's revenue increased by 1.5 per cent. Revenue in Finland was on a par with the previous year. Revenue abroad increased by 4.0 per cent thanks to the good growth of 21 per cent in Russia. Sales in the Baltic market remained poor and were clearly below the previous year's figures. Lindex's revenue increased by 17.5 per cent. Revenue increased by 11.6 per cent in Finland and by 18.3 per cent abroad. Revenue increased in all markets but Latvia. Seppälä's revenue increased by 3.8 per cent. Revenue was on a par with the previous year in Finland and 11.5 per cent up abroad, thanks to the 26 per cent growth in Russia. Sales in the Baltic markets picked up somewhat but were still clearly below last year's level.
