Cargotec receives a major order in the USA

CARGOTEC CORPORATION, STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE, 30 MARCH 2010 AT 1 P.M. (EET) Cargotec receives a major order in the USA Cargotec's Kalmar RT Center, LLC (KRTC) has been awarded new orders for its Rough Terrain Container Handler (RTCH) through its contract with the Department of Defense. The new orders were released by the Tank-Automotive Armament Command (TACOM) in Warren, Michigan, USA. The new orders carry a value of 110 MUSD, which will be booked to Cargotec's first quarter 2010 order intake. KRTC was awarded the underlying 5 year production contract in 2008 and now has received orders totaling approximately 350 MUSD under this contract. The Kalmar Rough Terrain Container Handlers are used in military and specialized commercial applications and they have the ability to travel over unimproved, rough terrain surfaces while easily handling twenty or forty foot containers. These new units will be built at Cargotec's state of the art manufacturing facility in San Antonio, Texas, USA, which started operations in 2009.
