FINNAIR AND AUTHORITIES AGREE ASH COMPENSATION ISSUE

FINNAIR PLC STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 18 JUNE 2010 AT 10.30 Finnair, the Finnish Consumer Agency and the Transport Safety and Security Agency TraFi have agreed the principles of compensation practice relating to air traffic halted by the volcanic ash cloud in April. The agreed principles limit the amount of compensation. Losses arising from compensation provide no cause to change the guidance given on the second quarter result, according to which the operational loss for April-June is projected to be at the same level or smaller than the first-quarter operational loss.
