Kauno Energija AB - Notification on material event

Regarding the obligation of the Securities Commission to declare a material event

On 16 August, 2010 JSC “Kauno energija” has received the decision of the Securities Commission (the Commission) 12 August, 2010 No. 2K-157 “Regarding the infringement case No. 12K-13“. By this decision Commission committed JSC “Kauno energija” to immediately declare a material event, informing about: - that there is evidence that 2009 JSC “Kauno energija” Consolidated financial statements and financial reports may not correspond with IAS 16 ”Property, plant and equipment” provisions of Article 24; - the date when the company, under IAS 16 “Property, plant and equipment” requirements of Article 24, tangible fixed assets received as a contribution in non-monetary, evaluates at fair value and will publish about this issue. JSC “Kaunas energy” intends to appeal the decision 12 August, 2010 No. 2K-157 “Regarding the infringement case No. 12K-13“ to the Vilnius District Administrative Court.
