STOCKMANN GROUP'S REVENUE IN AUGUST 2010

STOCKMANN plc Company Announcement 9.9.2010 at 10.30 STOCKMANN GROUP'S REVENUE IN AUGUST 2010 In August, the Stockmann Group's revenue (exclusive of VAT) exclusive of Hobby Hall's discontinued operations abroad amounted to EUR 141.4 million, up 6.7 per cent. Since the beginning of 2010, Hobby Hall has been a part of the Department Store Division. The Department Store Division's revenue includes Hobby Hall's figures, and the comparison figures have been adjusted accordingly. The Department Store Division's revenue increased by 7.4 per cent, up 6.6 per cent in Finland and up 10.0 per cent abroad. Revenue growth was good, up 15 per cent in Russia, despite the disturbing smoke from forest fires. Revenue in the Baltic department stores was at the previous year's level. Lindex's revenue increased by 9.0 per cent, down 1.8 per cent in Finland and up 10.6 per cent abroad. Development in the new markets in Russia and the Czech Republic continued to be very strong. Seppälä's revenue decreased by 3.3 per cent. Revenue in Finland was down by 5.2 per cent and revenue abroad was at the previous year's level. Seppälä had significantly less items in the August season sale than in the previous year.
