Milan, December 31 st, 2020 - SARAS S.p.A. informs that with resolution 598/2020/R/eel, ARERA, the Italian Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment, has provided for the inclusion of the Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle plant of Sarlux Srl (IGCC) among the "essential plants" to the safety of the Italian electricity system for the year 2021.
Sarlux will therefore be included in the list, drawn up on an annual basis, of "essential plants" starting from the expiry of the CIP 6/92 agreement (16 April 2021), currently in place, and until December 31st, 2021.
ARERA has also provided that TERNA initiates the process for defining the essentiality regime and the technical-economic parameters to be used; this process will be subject to subsequent definition with ARERA, with the possible admission to the cost reintegration regime by 15 April 2021.
