Stockmann Group's revenue in September 2012

Helsinki, Finland, 2012-10-09 09:45 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- STOCKMANN plc, Company Announcement 9.10.2012 at 10:45 EET The Stockmann Group's revenue in September was up 9.1 per cent to EUR 172.1 million. The Department Store Division's revenue grew by 4.8 per cent; up 3.5 per cent in Finland and 7.8 per cent in international operations. Growth continued strongest in the newest department stores in St Petersburg and Ekaterinburg. The euro-denominated revenue in Russia increased by 12.4 per cent in the department stores and by 6.9 per cent in total, when including the Bestseller franchising stores which will be closed down by the end of 2012. The Fashion Chain Division's revenue grew by 15.3 per cent; up 1.0 per cent in Finland and 18.8 per cent in international operations. Lindex's euro-denominated revenue was up 18.7 per cent due to a very successful campaign and collection with Missoni. Also the strengthened Swedish krona and Norwegian krone increased revenue in euro. In local currencies revenue was up 12.3 per cent. Seppälä's revenue was down 1.5 per cent.
