Atlantia: SUSTAINALYTICS UPGRADES SUSTAINABILITY RATING

Company sits in top 10% of companies worldwide out of approximately 15,000 covered

Rome, 3 February 2022. Atlantia continues its path of concrete implementation of its sustainability strategy, confirming its commitment to being one of the best performing listed Italian companies on this measure.

In response, the rating agency Sustainalytics has upgraded Atlantia's risk rating to 14.7 (on a scale between 0 and >40, where 0 indicates the best rating and >40 the worst). As a result of the upgrade, Atlantia now sits in the top 10% of companies out of the approximately 15,000 covered by Sustainalytics. The rating of this international agency - a company controlled by Morningstar and specialized in assessing how effectively companies manage their ESG risks – serves as a universal and independent reference for investors, shareholders and analysts.

Enrica Marra, Atlantia's Chief Risk Officer, said: "This important recognition is further confirmation of how, as part of Atlantia's current renewal process, environmental, social and governance issues are increasingly embedded in our corporate risk management, representing a strategic driver of the creation of sustainable value over time".

Atlantia was recently added to the MIB ESG Index, which includes the 40 most sustainable listed companies in Italy, and to the Euronext 120 Eurozone index, consisting of the 120 most sustainable companies in the Eurozone. Our place in the FTSE4Good (a global index used by market operators to create and assess responsible investment funds) has also been reconfirmed. Last September, the international rating agency, MSCI ESG Ratings (which specialises in rating the sustainability performances of approximately 2,800 companies), upgraded Atlantia's rating to BBB. Just a few weeks ago, the holding company was also included in Bloomberg's Gender-Equality Index (GEI), which brings together companies from around the world who are most committed to fostering transparent practices and a fair and inclusive working environment.
