TIM announces that Elisabetta Romano has been appointed head of the Chief Network Operations & Wholesale Office.
Elisabetta Romano has extensive experience in the Telecommunications and Media sector, gained in particularly challenging environments, both in Italy and abroad. At TIM she has held top positions in the technology and innovation sectors. Since August 2020 she has been CEO of Sparkle.
Elisabetta Romano becomes a key manager. Stefano Siragusa's key manager appointment is withdrawn at the same time.
Elisabetta Romano holds 354,367 ordinary shares in TIM.

Began her professional career in 1987 as a Software Developer for Alcatel. In just a few years, she held various technical roles, first becoming System Engineer then Head of System Engineers, operating in Antwerp (Belgium) as well as Milan.
In 1998 she continued to develop her career by joining Ericsson, where in 2012 she was appointed Head of Operations Support Systems based in Stockholm. Here she developed strategies for telecommunication operators, introducing new business areas to the market. In 2015, she became Head of TV & Media, based in Santa Clara, California, where she was tasked with developing innovative solutions and services and cloud technology for TV operators and content providers in order to offer modern video experiences.
In 2017, she became Head of the Core Network Division, a department focused on developing connectivity services, particularly those associated with mobile broadband connected to 5G technology. She headed a global organisation of 3,000 people across the world, driving the development of 5G.
On 1 July 2018, she joined the TIM Group as Chief Technology Officer, reporting directly to the CEO, with responsibility for ensuring technological innovation and the evolution of Networks and Information Technology across the Group, to support the journey towards digital transformation.
On 12 November 2019 she was appointed Head of the Chief Innovation & Partnership Office, reporting directly to the CEO.
On 6 August 2020 she was appointed CEO of Sparkle.
