PRESS RELEASE
Bologna, November 20th 2019 - Marzocchi Pompe S.p.A. (AIM:MARP), a leading company in the design, production and marketing of high-performance gear pumps and motors, announces that it has been awarded a contract from an important multinational company for the production of a gear pump for an automotive application in the powertrain sector.
The agreement signed provides for an order with an annual turnover of around 1.5 M € starting in 2020, with a minimum duration of four years.
From a production standpoint, the new order, which bears witness to the technological excellence of Marzocchi Pompe and the company's ability to customize its product according to customer needs, will take advantage of the production capacity already installed in the Zola Predosa plant.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Gabriele Bonfiglioli, commented: "We are very pleased to be able to start the production of this new project, originated from a deep technical collaboration with the customer, also because it confirms how successful Marzocchi Pompe can be as a technological partner worldwide. It is also an important sign of the opportunities that the company can seize in the automotive sector, which at a time of declining volumes is experiencing a phase of great ferment for the development of new projects. This order is then particularly relevant because prudently in our business plan we had not considered increases in quantity for our products intended for automotive applications".
