COVID-19 EMERGENCY UPDATE: MARZOCCHI POMPE RESUMES PRODUCTION ACTIVITY

Bologna, 14 April 2020 - Marzocchi Pompe S.p.A. (AIM:MARP), a leading company in the design, production and marketing of high performance pumps and gear motors, in relation to the Covid-19 emergency, announces that as of today, 14 April 2020, the Company has resumed its production activities on a regular basis, in order to ensure the continuity of the chain of activities referred to in Annex 3 of the Prime Ministerial Decree of 10 April 2020, pursuant to art. 2, paragraph 3 of the decree itself, and in light of the communication made to the competent Prefect pursuant to the same regulatory provision.

Gabriele Bonfiglioli, CEO of Marzocchi Pompe, commented: "In these three weeks of suspension of production activities for the Covid-19 emergency, we have received many requests from companies in the socalled "essential" supply chains, including companies manufacturing machinery for hospital, pharmaceutical and food applications, who were asking us to resume supplies. We therefore considered it not only necessary but above all dutiful to start again: from today we are again fully operational in both plants in Casalecchio di Reno and Zola Predosa, always obviously with all the necessary health precautions.

We are fully aware of the difficult situation linked to the Covid-19 epidemic, which will certainly have a heavy impact on the world market trend in 2020, but we are absolutely convinced that Marzocchi Pompe can overcome this not easy moment and resume its virtuous path.

We have an encouraging order backlog, which testifies the great trust that our Customers have in us, and many new products to develop.

Marzocchi Pompe is a leading company in the design, production and marketing of high-performance gear pumps and motors, which are used in various fields: industrial, mobile and automotive. 2019 closed with sales of approximately € 40 million. Founded in 1949, it is controlled by the Marzocchi family, which holds the majority of the shares and is present in the company with Paolo Marzocchi, President, and his son Carlo, in the Technical Area.
