Atria focuses on the production of pork from Jyväskylä to the Nurmo factory

In August, Atria launched a project to improve profitability and increase productivity at Jyväskylä's production facility. Negotiations with staff were completed today 17.10.2017. As a result of the negotiations, the slaughter and cutting of pigs was decided to be concentrated at Atria Nurmo factory. Bovine processing will continue in Jyväskylä.

Reorganization will achieve annual savings of approximately EUR 1.2 million, which would be implemented from June 2018 onwards. This means the dismissal of 17 employees and temporary layoffs at Jyväskylä's production plant. All employees to be laid off will be offered the opportunity to work at Atria's other units.
