The Administrative Court of Appeal has passed a decision in a dispute between Stockmann and the Swedish tax authorities

STOCKMANN plc, Inside Information 12.9.2022 at 9:00 EET On 8 September 2022, a decision has been received by the Administrative Court of Appeal in Gothenburg in a dispute between Stockmann and the Swedish tax authorities on the taxation of Stockmann's subsidiary Stockmann Sverige AB regarding its right to deduct interest expenses during the years 2013-2016 for a loan raised for the acquisition of AB Lindex. According to the decision, the Administrative Court of Appeal overturns the previous court decisions and approves Stockmann's appeal and confirms that Stockmann Sverige AB is entitled to a deduction of interest expenses, which corresponds to a lower tax cost of approximately EUR 20 million during the years 2013-2016.
