UNIDATA IS AWARDED IN TEMPORARY GROUPING OF COMPANIES AND SIGNS THE SUPPLY CONTRACT FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION AND MANAGEMENT OF AN IOT SMART WATER METERING SYSTEM FOR THE BASILICATA REGION

THE PROJECT FALLS WITHIN THE IOT SCOPE FOR CORRECT MONITORING OF CONSUMPTION, THE PREPARATION OF THE WATER BALANCE, THE IDENTIFICATION OF LOSSES AND THE REDUCTION OF WASTE FOR THE BASILICATA REGION

The total assignment to the Temporary Grouping of Compaies is equal to over 13 million Euros, with a share allocated to Unidata of over 600,000 Euros for a duration of 24 months. Unidata will take care of the design and implementation of the remote reading network based on LoRaWan® technology and the TLC WAN network.

Roma, 9 April 2024 – Unidata S.p.A. (UD.MI), telecommunications, cloud and IoT services operator, listed on the Euronext Milan market – STAR Segment, organized and managed by Borsa Italiana S.p.A., announces that it has been awarded in Temporary Grouping of Companies, and that it has signed the contract for the assignment by Acquedotto Lucano S.p.A. of the contract for the implementation of interventions aimed at reducing losses in water distribution networks, including digitalisation and monitoring of the networks. The intervention falls within the scope of the resources envisaged by the NRRP for the "protection and enhancement of the territory and water resources through sustainable management of water resources and the reduction of losses in water distribution networks".

The awarded Temporary Grouping of Companies which in addition to Unidata sees the participation of the Mandatory Pietro Fiorentini S.p.A. and Eurisko S.r.l., will be engaged in a complex project to modernize over 72,000 meters currently in use in 21 Municipalities of the Basilicata Region, which envisages - in the context of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) for the implementation of the M2C4 -14.2 measure ("Reduction of losses in water distribution networks, including digitalisation and monitoring of the networks") - the creation of the LoraWAN® remote reading network and the supply of digital smart meters for measuring user consumption.

The total value of the award intended for Unidata, which amounts to over 600,000 Euros, consists of the activities relating to the design and construction of the LoRaWan® IoT network for the 21 municipalities of the Basilicata Region subject to the intervention.
