FAE TECHNOLOGY: RAY OZZIE ALONGSIDE THE GROUP TO DRIVE TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT AND EXPAND RANGE OF SOLUTIONS

The U.S. entrepreneur, one of the world's leading technology innovators, will support as Technology Advisor the development of the Group in terms of edge computing and Artificial Intelligence

Gazzaniga (BG), 4 th March 2024 – FAE Technology S.p.A. – Benefit Company ("FAE Technology" or the "Company" or the "Group"), Tech company and parent of the Italian electronics sector Group of the same name, announces that an agreement was finalized with Ray Ozzie, who assumes the role of Technology Advisor to the Group. The U.S. entrepreneur and innovator, formerly Chief Technical Officer and Chief Software Architect at Microsoft between 2005 to 2010, now founder and CEO of Blues Wireless, will support the Group in expanding its business model, with a particular focus on the opportunities arising from the edge computing and Artificial Intelligence markets. Ray Ozzie will provide directly to the Company's management its contribution in terms of technology advisory, in order to seize the growing opportunities in the market.

With this strategic partnership, FAE Technology seeks to strengthen its position on the Italian and international markets, continuing to contribute to the technological progress of key sectors in which electronics plays a crucial role. Ray Ozzie will bring his extensive experience to help introduce cutting-edge solutions and support the Group in its development processes, with the goal of anticipating customer and partner needs.

The agreement is part of FAE Technology's and its management's desire to continue to develop synergies within the world of innovation and research. The relationship with the Senseable City Lab of Boston's MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), with which the Company has signed a two-year agreement becoming a Consortium Member, is key in this regard. FAE Technology helped develop the Flatburn and Greenery Scan devices, screening and monitoring technologies for urban environments that transform road vehicles into mobile sensing infrastructure by providing granular and sensitive data on environmental quality.

Raymond Ozzie - Biography

Raymond Ozzie, 68, is a U.S. software entrepreneur best known for holding the positions of Chief Technical Officer and Chief Software Architect at Microsoft between 2005 to 2010, the latter of which he took over from Bill Gates. A Chicago native and 1979 computer science graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Ozzie is the creator of Vizical, the first spreadsheet for microcomputers. At the turn of the 1980s and 1990s he gained recognition by devising Lotus Notes, later to become IBM Notes, client application and e-mail of the collaborative client/server software Domino. Ozzie founded, led the development of, and is currently CEO of Blues Wireless, which specializes in IoT connectivity solutions that connect any physical object to cloud infrastructure, simplifying communication and managing cyber security issues. He is also a director of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, serving on Hewlett Packard's Board of Directors, is an Advisor to AT&T, one of the world's largest U.S. telecommunications companies, and is also a Director on the Board of Safecast, an international nonprofit which generates and monitors environmental data. Since 2016, he has been director of Whale, a company specializing in the creation, deployment and management of connected Linux device fleets.
