LONDON, United Kingdom and TORONTO, Ontario, Canada 18 September 2024 - Alphawave IP Group plc (LN: AWE, the "Company" or "Alphawave Semi"), a global leader in high-speed connectivity for the world's technology infrastructure, is saddened to announce the tragic loss of one of its Executive Directors, Sehat Sutardja.

Dr. Sutardja was one of the pioneers of the modern semiconductor industry and a strong supporter of Alphawave Semi. His loss will be felt globally across his entire portfolio of technology companies and philanthropic endeavours. Out of respect for the family, no further details are being provided currently and media is discouraged from contacting the family during this time of grief. Alphawave Semi extends its deepest condolences to the Sutardja and Dai family.

Weili Dai was previously the Alternate Director for Dr. Sutardja and has been appointed as an Interim Executive Director with immediate effect. She will devote the rest of her life to carry on her husband's remarkable legacy with her children and her great teams to continue his innovations and work.

The announcement is made in accordance with Rule 6.4.6 of the London Stock Exchange's Listing Rules.
