Wipark is considered one of the leading operators of car parks in Austria. With 5,717 parking units in the 11 car parks owned by it and 2,561 parking units in 12 car parks operated by it, Wipark holds a market share of more than 20% in Vienna. Wipark has one location in Graz and one in Linz. Also in 1998 the car park activities of Wipark earned a high gross cashflow of approximately ATS 95 million and net income of ATS 36 million. Wienerberger sells 51% interest in Wipark Garagen GmbH at approximately ATS 580 million to the Austrian Immofinanz Immobilien Anlagen AG. Immofinanz has an option on the remaining 49%. In 1984 Wienerberger took over Votivpark Garagen GmbH at a purchase price of approximately ATS 60 million and developed a new business line. By realising this increased value Wienerberger is going to achieve an additional income on real estate of more than ATS 400 million in 1999. By means of this Wienerberger has successfully concluded another developing project, has achieved a substantial increase in value and has continued the strategy of focusing on its core business.
