DM bzw. % vom Umsatz) Die ELMOS Semiconductor AG (WKN 567710) legt ihre Quartalszahlen vor: Mit 45,7 Mio. DM erzielte ELMOS im dritten Quartal ’99 den bisher höchsten Quartalsumsatz in der Firmengeschichte. Der bis dato kumulierte Gesamtumsatz ’99 von 124 Mio. DM übertrifft den vergleichbaren Vorjahresumsatz um 18,3% Umsatz: 1-9/’99 in % 1-9/’98 in % Umsatz 124,0 100 104,8 100 davon Produktion 117,8 95,0 97,5 93,0 Entwicklung 3,4 2,7 3,3 3,2 Sonstiges 2,8 2,3 4,0 3,8 Der Hauptanteil des Umsatzes wird mit der Produktion von ASICs erzielt. Dieser Umsatzanteil konnte um 21% gesteigert werden und liegt damit deutlich über dem Branchendurchschnitt. Auftragseingang: Design Im dritten Quartal des laufenden Jahres wurden zahlreiche beachtenswerte Design-Wins erzielt. Diese schlagen sich zunächst in den Entwicklungsumsätzen nieder, in den Folgejahren ist allein aus diesen neuen Entwicklungen mit Produktionsaufträgen von über 100 Mio. DM zu rechnen. Produktion Der kumulierte Auftragseingang im laufenden Jahr beträgt 130 Mio DM. DM reflektiert die besondere Effizienz und Leistungsfähigkeit der ELMOS Technologie, des Entwicklungs- Know-hows und der Produktion. Im Vergleich zum ersten Halbjahr 1999 konnte die Bruttomarge von 49,7 % auf 50,2 % verbessert werden. Die wesentliche Einflußgröße ist die Erhöhung der Bruttomarge. Personal: Die Mitarbeiterzahl stieg von 450 (9/98) auf 485 (9/99). Ausblick: Im 4. Quartal 1999 erwartet ELMOS einen Umsatz, der über dem Umsatz des Vergleichszeitraums 1998 liegt. Aufgrund saisonaler Gegebenheiten wird das 4. Quartal 1999, analog zu den Vorjahren, schwächer als das jeweilige dritte Quartal erwartet. This share of the net sales was increased by 21%, thus being higher than the branch average. Incoming Orders Design Noticeable design-wins have been achieved in the third quarter of the current year. Initially, these will impact on the design turnover. In the coming years, production orders amounting to in excess of DM 100 million could be expected from these new developments alone. Production The accumulated incoming orders amount to DM 130 million in the current year. In comparison to the first half year 1999, gross margin improved from 49.7% to 50.2%. In absolute terms, this is an increase of 129%. The most important factor is the increase of the gross margin. Personnel The number of employees increased from 450 (9/98) to 485 (9/99). Future Prospects In the 4th quarter of 1999, ELMOS expects net sales to be higher than net sales in the 4th quarter of 1998.
