Jenoptik-Tochter M+W Zander erhält Millionen-Auftrag. M+W Zander, ein Tochterunternehmen des Technologiekonzerns JENOPTIK AG, Jena, (WKN 622910) ist am Bau des neuen Halbleiterwerkes der Infineon Technologies AG beteiligt. Am Standort Dresden wird Infineon insgesamt mehr als eine Milliarde Euro in die neue Produktionsanlage investieren. Für das Halbleiterwerk soll eine eigene Gesellschaft mit dem Namen Infineon Technologies SC 300 GmbH & Co. KG geführt werden. Das Auftragsvolumen für M+W Zander liege deutlich im dreistelligen Millionen-Euro-Bereich, teilte die JENOPTIK AG am Freitag in Jena mit. Das neue Infineon Werk ist weltweit eine der ersten Produktions- anlagen für die Herstellung von Chips auf der Basis der 300-Millimeter-Technologie. Seit 1998 hat Infineon in einem Joint Venture mit Motorola eine neue Fertigungstechnologie entwickelt und auf einer der modernsten Produktionsanlagen, die sich ebenfalls in Dresden befindet, erfolgreich getestet. M+W Zander brachte bei einer von Infineon geleiteten Projektstudie “Fab of the Future” maßgebliches Know-how zur Gestaltung der Produktionsanlagen für die neue Technologiegeneration in der Chip-Herstellung ein. Jenoptik subsidiary M+W Zander is awarded a million order. M+W Zander, a subsidiary of the Technology Group JENOPTIK AG in Jena, (security code No. 622910) will be involved in building work for the new semiconductor plant of Infineon Technologies AG. Infineon is going to invest more than one billion Euros in a new production facility at its Dresden location. A special company under the name of Infineon Technologies SC 300 GmbH & Co. KG will be established for the semiconductor fab. According to a statement released by JENOPTIK AG on Friday in Jena, the order volume for M+W Zander is clearly in the three-digit million Euros range. The new Infineon factory ranks among the first production facilities to manufacture chips based on the 300-millimetre technology on a global scale.
