Juli 2000: – Die Münchener Travel24.com AG (Neuer Markt: TVD), eines der führenden deutschen Internet-Reiseportale, übernimmt rückwirkend zum 1.1.2000 zu 100 % das Reiseunternehmen AEROWORLD Fernreisen GmbH. Der Hamburger Touristik-Anbieter gehörte bislang zu 51 Prozent der DERPART GmbH und zu 49 Prozent dem geschäftsführenden Gesellschafter Georg Hammer. Über die Höhe des Kaufpreises, der sowohl in Aktien als auch in bar bezahlt wird, wurde Still- schweigen vereinbart. Aus der Übernahme resultieren für Travel24.com Synergieeffekte mit weitreichen- den Auswirkungen auf die Umsatz- und Ergebnisplanung. Die Gesellschaft hebt deshalb das Umsatzziel für den vermittelten Reiseumsatz im laufenden Geschäfts- jahr auf über DM 250 Mio an. Zusätzlich rechnet Travel24.com mit beträchtlichen Einsparungen in den Bereichen Einkauf, Distribution und Fulfillment, einer Verringerung des bisher für das laufende Geschäftsjahr geplanten Verlustes und dem früheren Erreichen der Gewinnzone. AEROWORLD zählt zu den führenden Konsolidatoren, Fulfillment-Unternehmen und Reiseveranstaltern in Deutschland. Für das Jahr 2000 erwartet AEROWORLD rund ein Drittel des Umsatzes aus der Vermittlung von Reisen und Flügen via Internet. Der Hamburger Touristik-Anbieter erwirtschaftet seit Jahren ein deutlich positives Ergebnis. Zurzeit beschäftigt AEROWORLD am Sitz des Unternehmens in Hamburg und an den beiden Standorten Düsseldorf und Frankfurt rund 100 Mitarbeiter. Der bisherige geschäftsführende Gesellschafter von AEROWORLD, Georg Hammer, wird Mitglied des Vorstandes der Travel24.com AG. AEROWORLD selbst bleibt in seiner Eigenständigkeit in seinen Geschäftsfeldern, insbesondere als Geschäftspartner im Business-to-Business Bereich, erhalten. The parties agreed to maintain secrecy on the purchase price which is being paid in stocks as well as in cash. Synergy effects with far-reaching consequences on the planned turnover and profits will result for Travel24.com from this step. The company has therefore raised its turnover target for the mediated travel turnover in the current business year to over 250 DMm. Additionally Travel24.com expects major economies in the sectors purchase, distribution and fulfilment, a reduction of the expected loss in the current business year and reaching break-even earlier than previously expected. AEROWORLD ranks among the leading consolidators, fulfilment companies and tour operators in Germany. For 2000 AEROWORLD expects about one third of sales being realised by selling travels and flights via Internet. The Hamburg-based tour operator has achieved considerably positive result for years. At present AEROWORLD has roughly 100 employees on the payroll at the company offices in Hamburg and at the two outlets Düsseldorf and Frankfurt. AEROWORLD’s previous managing partner, Georg Hammer, will become a member of the executive board of Travel24.com AG and will be responsible for operations and applications.
